Kristal's Paws and Cuddles, Ltd.

Kristal's Paws and Cuddles, Ltd. Kristal’s Paws and Cuddles is a dependable and trust-worthy pet-sitting business located in Mebane, NC. Hi! I can’t wait to meet you and your pets!!!!

We are a North Carolina Corporation, fully insured, and we are certified in Pet First Aid & CPR. Thank you for visiting the Kristal's Paws and Cuddles page! My name is Kristal Coleman and I am insured through Pet Care Insurance (PCI.) I was blessed to have grown up with pets my entire life. From dogs, a cat, rabbits, fish, and birds to a boa constrictor (the snake was my brothers), my lov

e for pets has been with all my life! After over 25 years in education, I knew exactly the career I wanted to do next, and it’s my love for pets that sparked me to become a part of the wonderful world of pet sitting. I have been fortunate to take care of dogs, cats, chickens, fish, a rabbit, and a gecko since I launched my business a little over 2 years ago. Currently, my animal family includes my supportive husband of almost 9 years, and our (2) adorable and (mommy loving) fur babies Jazzy & Jax. Being a dog walker helps me get my (much needed) steps in and the Drop-In Visits and Overnight Stays allow me the opportunity to get to know the pets and their personalities even more! Trust me, I understand the importance of trusting someone to care for your “babies.” So many pets thrive when they are comfortable in their own homes, and I believe that my pet-sitting services will provide a cost-effective, safe and efficient way to accommodate both you and your pets.

These beautiful girls, Mazee and Pippen, are two of my regular clients, and they also happen to be my largest canine clients! But don’t let their size fool you. They are the sweetest, most gentle souls. ❤️

I have the pleasure of providing pet care for Mazee and Pippen each month, and I like to come up with a different little theme for our time together. This month, our theme has been “Affirmations with Mazee & Pippen:” little life lessons and reminders that come to me simply by watching them and spending time with them.

Today’s affirmation hit a little differently, and I wanted to share it for anyone who may be going through something right now. ❤️

🐾Take It One Piece at a Time 🐾

Today, I brought Mazee and Pippen their milk bones outside. Instead of giving them a whole one, I broke each bone into smaller pieces—and just like that, today’s affirmation came to me.

Sometimes life hands us things that feel like too much to take in all at once. We look at the whole situation—the problem, the uncertainty, everything that needs to be figured out—and it can feel overwhelming.

But maybe we don’t have to handle the whole thing today.

Sometimes we just need to break it down into smaller pieces and deal with the piece that’s in front of us. One decision. One conversation. One day. Sometimes even one moment at a time.

And then there was Pippen. She found herself a nice shady spot and LET IT ALL OUT! 💩 Apparently, she had an additional word for us today: You don’t have to hold everything in either! Find yourself a safe, comfortable place, release what you need to release, and leave it there. 😂

So today, Mazee and Pippen reminded me:

You don’t have to carry it all at once. Take what life gives you one piece at a time, find some shade when you need it, let some things go, and keep moving forward.

Who knew two St. Bernards and a couple of milk bones could teach a whole message?

Harriet was getting ready to spill the tea……. But I had to (hog) call for Porky and Slim so she said she’d catch me up on everything tomorrow. Stay tuned….

🐾💕 Meet the beautiful Miss Tilly! 💕🐾

When I first met Tilly at our Meet & Greet, she was a little on the shy side. I even attempted to win her over with a Churu, but Miss Tilly was not interested! 😹

Fast forward to my very first visit providing pet care services, and apparently she had decided I was okay! She was peeking out the window watching for me, greeting me at the door, rubbing against my legs, enjoying lots of pets, and posing for pictures like she had booked her own personal photo shoot!

I put her Churu in a dish, and she saved that for later because while I was there, she was much too busy entertaining me, observing everything going on, enjoying pets, and simply being fabulous!

Tilly also has her very own personal catio! We didn’t explore it this time, but I’m definitely hoping we can spend some time out there the next time.

Sometimes our feline friends just need a little time to decide whether we’re worthy of joining their inner circle. I think it’s safe to say…I passed the Tilly Test!

Welcome to the Kristal’s Paws and Cuddles family, beautiful girl! ♥️🐾♥️

When your clients oink, “Let’s take a selfie!”

Meet Harriet, Porky & Slim-three of my most unique KPAC clients! 🐽🐽🐽

They may not technically be part of the paws in Kristal’s Paws and Cuddles, Ltd., but when they’re in my care, they’re part of the KPAC family! ♥️

I truly never know WHO my workday is going to bring, and that’s part of what makes this little business of mine so much fun!

Today was “Take Your Husband to Work Day” at KPAC! 😂

Rodney accompanied me on one of my mini-farm visits, where we fed three hungry hogs, added fresh water to their pools, and made sure the feral cats had full bellies too.

He was a pretty good farmhand! I just might have to put him on the KPAC payroll! 🐽🐽🐽🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛

July: Summer Comfort & Care

As July comes to a close, I’ve found myself reflecting on what this month has meant-not just for me, but for the incredible pets I’ve had the privilege of caring for.

With temperatures climbing well into the 100°+ range, my focus throughout July has been simple: keeping every pet as safe, comfortable, and happy as possible. That has meant early morning walks and walks as the sun begins to set, finding shady spots to explore, making sure everyone stayed hydrated, sharing plenty of ice chips, relaxing indoors in the air conditioning, stretching out on cool floors for the best naps, and, of course, enjoying belly rubs, cuddles, and personalized one-on-one attention. There was even an adorable curious feline fur baby who decided my locs deserved a closer inspection!

One of the greatest gifts of this work is getting to know each pet as an individual. Learning what brings them comfort, what makes them feel secure, and what makes their tails wag or their little motors purr is something I never take for granted. It truly is a privilege.

Thank you for trusting Kristal’s Paws and Cuddles, Ltd. with your beloved family members. Caring for them is more than a job to me. It’s a calling and a joy.
Here’s to a safe, comfortable, and love-filled rest of the summer. ♥️🐾♥️
