Mr. Whiskers was the best barn cat that ever lived. From an early age, Mr. Whiskers (aka Whiskers, Whiskey, Whiskies) found his way to Woodlawn Stables and served as the resident barn cat until Merlin joined his forces. He lived such a beautiful, loving, fulfilled life, though you could never count on him to actually catch a mouse. Mr. Whiskers found comfort literally anywhere around the barn, he was always there purring next to you, and you could count on him to ask for as many pets as you’re willing to give. His meows for food will echo in the barn forever. Mr. Whiskers was a core member of Woodlawn Stables, providing so many people with love and laughter, and he will be missed every day. May he rest in peace and get all the pets and treats he wants in heaven 💙🪽

We had such a great time at Heather Ridge Farms this week! Our riders and horses continue to impress us with their hard work and dedication to improving! We had another fantastic weekend of showing at the Double Take Stables schooling show! Our riders and horses were phenomenal and we are so proud! Thank you to Double Take Stables for hosting this schooling show, to all the sponsors, and to all those who came out to support! 🐴💙

This past weekend, we had the pleasure of going to the Southeastern Agricultural Center in Lumberton to show with the United Horsemen of the Carolinas 2026 season opener! We couldn’t have been happier with our horses and riders after this competitive and exhausting two-day show! Once again, our riders were able to show the hard work they put in over the winter to prepare for the season. And of course, none of it would be possible without our incredible trainer and the parents and families who come out to support! Great work, Team Woodlawn! 🐴💙

So proud of all riders and horses who competed at this past weekend’s HT at Heather Ridge! It was the first show of the season and we are already seeing incredible results from a winter of hard work. Can’t wait to see what the 2026 show season holds for our riders and horses! 🐴💙

2025 ✨ A year that created so many incredible memories here at Woodlawn Stables! We are particularly proud to see how much our students and horses have progressed and grown throughout the year. Congratulations to Niki Winters on her recent purchase of Builder (aka All the Drama)! This big, handsome, goofy boy is so lucky to have found his home with Niki at Woodlawn Stables. Thank you to Melissa Davis for bringing this pair together! This duo has hit the ground running, working hard together. Builder has gained a lot of muscle already! We truly can’t wait to see what Niki and Builder accomplish together! 🐴💙

It’s like we blinked and the 2025 United Horsemen of the Carolinas season is officially over! How did that go so fast?!? We are still reliving the final show from just last weekend, Canter for a Cure at Woodlawn with the theme of pink for breast cancer awareness month! What an incredible time we had with so many highlights—the Prettiest in Pink Award of many close competitors, a leadline class sporting many dads, and the many new and old faces we got to see! Thank you to all of those who support this series in so many various ways and to all of those who came out to the last show of the season! We cannot wait for next year! 🐴💓
