Clairice Pandacow Moses (11/11/17 - 6/16/26) ❣️ We know that the universe put you in our lives with much intention. You were born two weeks after our first date, and spent the next nine years loving us every single day. We've never seen a dog with such a capacity for caring. Unquestionably by our side, constantly being our light in dark times, I don't know how we could thank you enough.

This is the polarity of loving someone so much. Claire was always there... Until she wasn't. The love we have for her is still here... but she is not. Her mark on our family is infinite... yet the time she spent with us seems so momentary.

Squeaks. Pandacow. Big Girl. It doesn't matter what we called you, your presence was always the same: Pure love and joy.

We know that if you could talk, the puppies you left behind would be your pride and joy. It gives us pride and joy that there are families enjoying Claire's beauty even though we don't share that honor anymore.

If you have a dog, please give them a hug. Tell them you love them. Make them sit on your lap for love cuddles without remorse. Cook them a steak for dinner. We spent almost a decade doing that with Claire, and it still doesn't seem enough.

We love you Squeakette. Always have and always will. Thank you for every second you added to our family, and we will see you in whatever lovely place you are now. Rest in peace, Claire. The beauty of your soul will never be forgotten.

Passing With Flying Colors 🏆 Mika scored a .29 on her PennHIP test, one of the best we've seen from a Bernese Mountain Dog!

Hip dysplasia is the most common health issue our vets see in Bernedoodles, and it's devastating given how disabling it can be. Most programs utilize OFA testing (if they test hips at all), a single X-ray that research shows has almost zero ability to actually predict hip dysplasia risk. PennHIP uses three X-rays to objectively measure joint laxity, producing a Distraction Index score (Mika's .29) that is a proven predictor of long-term hip health.

So why doesn't everyone use PennHIP? It's pretty simple. OFA costs $45 and is easy to pass. PennHIP costs $800 and is much harder to pass. We require a passing PennHip for every single one of our breeding dogs and post every score publicly on our website. To our knowledge, we're the only Bernedoodle program with that standard, and it's one we're very proud of!
