Well. . . Look who used up some of her scraps on new cinches? The lighter one allowed me to use up a short-ish section of 8-ply, and the darker let me use up some remnants of 2-ply from other projects, both the green and the purple towards the buckle ends are scraps! I have gotten MUCH better about my design work to not create so many left overs, but I also tend to keep those pieces that could still be used in other projects, when they do happen. I love getting to use some.of them up!

I finished one of my long standing projects off my wall of works in progress. I now have an empty loom and want to start something else new!

Why do I do this to myself? Well because I may have recently put away some new mohair, which meant (re)discovering how many pretty colors I have available, and I want to work with them!

I have projects in various states or stages. I have a couple of tack sales coming up in upcoming weeks, so want to get a few new pieces done to list. But, so many are at the weaving ends in! I started a custom order for a friend yhe other day, and I have started weaving in the ends for that, but the empty loom staring at me is just begging to starta new project!

For those that craft, how many are you working on at different times?

I am trying to finish up some of my started projects before starting new ones.

Thankfully I have multiple looms, and since it is a bit rainy today, a good day to be making cinches

If you are considering a custom cinch for friends or family (or heck, even for yourself!) for Christmas, or those sneaky December birthdays that are easy to forget in the holiday rush, I will likely be closing orders at the end of October, earlier if I need to order mohair or hardware. For custom orders, I do require a 50% non-refundable deposit once a design is decided.

What does a pile of mohair ends mean? Means someone is working on a project! In this case, I am the someone working on a project, working on reducing my number of works in progress, and working on building another pretty amd functional cinch!

I really want to start new mohair projects

There are so many works in progress that need finishing. In fact, a whole rack of them 🤪🫣🫢

Also- I have another loom enroute here, so I guess I will need to have lots of projects going. Maybe a mixture of new ones and ones waiting to be finished.

I am getting this lovely one wrapped up. This one helped me use up some smallish pieces of 8 ply, which also feels like I am.cleaning out my craft space, so a little extra credit of accomplishment!

What kind of colors do you want to see? Any specific designs? I want to build a piece for my mustang with her brand incorporated, and maybe even her name since it is short!
