When the Mayor of the city your business and charity resides-and where you spend most of your time- asks you to step in his office, if you're me, you wonder what in the world did I do now, lol.
Luckily for me it wasn't like being sent to the principal's office, it was to receive a special recognition.
Thank you to Mayor Kobasko for the acknowledgement of our community support and the extremely kind words. We are blessed to have McMechen as our home and honored for this recognition. We can't imagine any place more perfect for us, I do believe we are here to stay.

❤️ TERRI LINDSEY – HAPPY TAILS / PAW IT FORWARD 🐾
This week, I am very proud to recognize Terri Lindsey as one of our Mayor’s Solution Coaster recipients!
As many of you know, Terri has been looking out for our four-legged friends and helping the people of McMechen and surrounding communities for over 20 years.
Terri has never given up on McMechen. She has remained right there at the old Bank of McMechen drive-through, where you can find her just about any time of the day or night, working on her next project or figuring out who she can help next.
And let me tell you, it isn’t always about the animals!
Terri has touched so many lives. Her First Responder Trees have become a staple in McMechen, and her dedication to our police officers, firefighters, K-9 units, local organizations, and families is something special.
One thing I want everyone to know is that Terri is ALWAYS willing to lend the City of McMechen and its residents a helping hand, no matter what may come along. Whether the city needs assistance, a resident needs help, or an organization needs support, Terri is always willing to step up and see what she can do.
I remember when I was campaigning for mayor, Terri told me something I’ll never forget.
“Whatever you do, don’t let those cops run around on bald tires!”
I told her I wouldn’t, and she quickly informed me that she was going to make sure of it! 😂
That’s Terri! Always looking out for somebody!
Whether it’s helping a first responder, caring for an animal in need, supporting a local organization, or donating a basket for a fundraiser through her nonprofit Paw It Forward, Terri is constantly thinking about what she can do for somebody else.
And the amazing thing is, she doesn’t do any of it looking for recognition. She does it because she genuinely cares.
Terri, I want you to know just how much I appreciate everything you do. Not just for McMechen, but for so many surrounding communities. You have made a difference in more lives than you probably even realize.
Thank you for setting up shop in McMechen all those years ago. Thank you for sticking with us, believing in our little city, and never giving up on the people or animals who need your help.
Because, Terri, I can promise you one thing — McMechen sure does believe in YOU! ❤️
