🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July from Rob and the McLean Animal Hospital family! 🐾❤️🤍💙

Our hospital is closed today so our team can celebrate Independence Day with their loved ones.

We will reopen tomorrow at 8:00 AM for emergency appointments only.

☀️ With the summer heat and fireworks, help keep your pets safe by:
💧 Providing plenty of fresh water
🌳 Limiting outdoor time during the hottest part of the day, short potty break’s only
🐾 Avoiding hot pavement (if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws!)
❄️ Keeping them indoors in the A/C whenever possible
🎆 Fireworks can be frightening for pets! Keep them safely indoors, make sure their ID tags and microchip information are up to date, create a quiet, comfortable space, and don’t forget a few extra treats for the brave ones. 🐾

🐾 Please join us in welcoming Dr. Anastasia Furman to McLean Animal Hospital! 🐾

Dr. Furman is a Northern Virginia native who grew up in Great Falls and is excited to return to the community she calls home. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal and Poultry Science from Virginia Tech and recently graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Her professional interests include geriatric medicine, physical therapy and rehabilitation, dermatology, preventative care, and strengthening the human-animal bond. As a Fear Free Certified veterinarian, she is dedicated to creating a positive, low-stress experience for pets and their families.

When she's not at the hospital, Dr. Furman enjoys caring for her aquariums, hiking, skiing and snowboarding, playing pickleball, golfing, reading history books, and spending time with friends and family.

We are thrilled to have Dr. Furman join our team and look forward to introducing her to our wonderful clients and patients! 💙🐾

This sweet little pup stopped by for his very first vet visit today, and we are already in love! 🐶✨

At just 13 weeks old and 7.24 pounds, Dango was brave, adorable, and full of puppy charm. His favorite thing? Snuggles, of course! ❤️

We can’t wait to watch you grow, Dango, and be part of your journey every step (and paw print) of the way. 🐾

Penny the Miniature Golden Retriever had her first visit with Dr. Cryder yesterday! She’s 14 weeks old, 9 whole pounds, and loves eating and chewing.
