WE HAVE SOME EXCITING NEWS! 🎉

Dr. Julia McElwee, known as Dr. Mc (pronounced “Mack”) will be joining the team at Thrive McKinney in June!! Dr. McElwee is eager to bring a passion for preventative care and client education to the community. A 2022 graduate of Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. McElwee finds great joy in helping pets live long, healthy lives.
Her professional interests include small animal dermatology, surgery, and dentistry, and exotic animal general medicine and husbandry. She believes early, proactive care is the foundation of a happy pet. She loves the personal connections built in general practice and believes that building trust with owners is the first step in being proactive with your pet’s healthcare.
When she is not in the clinic, she can be found tending to her indoor plants and fresh water aquarium, taking a stroll in one of the many parks in the area, traveling to new places with family and friends, or snuggling with one of her three cats. She looks forward to meeting you and your furry (and occasionally feathered or scaly) family members! 🐾

Help us give her a warm welcome to our Thrive McKinney Team! Her books are open for June and she can’t wait to meet you and your pets!

We want to introduce some of the staff’s personal pets! We have shrimp, she is a 13 year old toothless chihuahua, who was recently rescued and Kirby, the 4 month old green cheek conure. They are the real bosses around here and they wanted to show off their cute custom made hats!

We love all kinds of animals around here and playing dress up 🥰
