Hi! My name is Larisa. I’ve been working as a veterinary technician for the past 2½ years, and caring for animals has strengthened my passion for veterinary medicine. Through my experience, I’ve developed valuable hands-on skills while learning the importance of compassion, teamwork, and dedication.

Outside of work, I enjoy rock climbing, drawing and watching my favorite tv show Bobs burgers with my main squeeze Big Mac and Toby. Rock climbing challenges me to push my limits, drawing gives me a creative way to relax and express myself and hanging out with my dog and cat is always a go to.

One of my biggest goals is to start veterinary technician school so I can continue expanding my knowledge and advance my career in animal healthcare.@

A fun fact about me is that I was adopted from Russia, which is a unique part of my story and something I’m proud to share and I’m a huge movie nerd as well my top favorites are, interstellar, Project Hail Mary and Oppenheimer.

I can’t wait to meet your fur babies and take good care of them :)

Extreme heat has made its way here!!

Here are a few simple ways to protect your pets:
• Bring pets indoors whenever possible.
• Ensure access to fresh, clean water and shade.
• Walk in the morning or evening when temperatures are cooler.
• Remember that pavement can become dangerously hot.
• Never leave a pet in a parked vehicle, even for a few minutes.

Know the signs of heatstroke:
• Excessive panting
• Thick drool
• Bright red or pale gums
• Weakness or stumbling
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Collapse or unconsciousness

If you find a dog that appears to be suffering from heatstroke:
• Move the dog to a shaded or air-conditioned area immediately.
• Begin cooling them by lightly spraying water on them. DO NOT SUBMERGE THEM IN COLD WATER.
• Use a fan if one is available.
• Offer small amounts of cool water if the dog/cat is alert and able to drink.
• Seek emergency veterinary care as quickly as possible.
