🐾 MEET BRIAN 🐾
We love introducing you to the amazing people who make up the Top Dog Pet Sitters team! Today, we’re getting to know one of our pet sitters a little better. Brian has been part of our team since 2023- it seems much longer! ❤️
🐶 What is your favorite thing about working with Top Dog Pet Sitters?
I love learning all the animals’ distinct personalities and discovering how each one prefers to be spoiled. Working with animals is the best kind of therapy!
🐕 Are you a dog person or a cat person—and why?
Definitely a dog person! There’s nothing like a dog greeting you whenever you get home. 🐶❤️
🐾 What dog breed best matches your personality?
A Mastiff! Huge body, bigger heart, always wants to snuggle—but may drool and snore. 😂
🏡 What is something most people don’t understand about being a professional pet sitter?
Patience, accountability, and paying attention to the small details are incredibly important. We’re going into a pet's home, and we have to earn their trust in order to care for them. Every pet has their own concerns, anxieties, and stressors while Mom and Dad are away. Our goal is to alleviate as much of that as possible by loving on them, caring for them, and learning their specific needs.
📺 What is your favorite TV or movie pet?
BJ from BJ and the Bear, Smokey from Smokey and the Bandit (showing my age! 😂), and Marmaduke.
🤓 What is your most useless talent?
Useless trivia knowledge—and I’m a bit of a history buff!
💬 What could you talk about for 30 minutes without any preparation?
I’m a Special Education Teacher by trade, specializing in helping young adults with disabilities find and maintain employment in their communities. I find myself talking with business owners and managers about the benefits of giving one of my students an opportunity to volunteer or work for them in some capacity. I could talk about this endlessly!
🐱 Tell us about a pet you have cared for that you’ll never forget.
There have been so many! Souljaboy was a cat who always wanted to snuggle. Duke had such a great spirit and personality, especially for an old boy dealing with serious hip issues. I’ll also never forget my childhood Basset Hound, Rosie, or my wife and my first pet, Samson, who survived Parvo as a puppy and went on to live for 14 wonderful years. ❤️
🐾 And finally, tell us something else we should know about you!
I currently have three rescued dogs from the Collin County shelter, ranging in size from 125 pounds to 40 pounds. And, yes, I also have two very overweight guinea pigs at home! 😂🐹🐹
Clearly, animals are a pretty big part of my life—and I wouldn’t have it any other way! ❤️
We're proud to have pet sitters who don't just love animals—they take the time to understand them, earn their trust, and care for them as individuals.
