Winston, the cutest wrinkly little bulldog pup, came to UrgentVet McKinney after his family spotted blood in his diarrhea. Scary to see in a puppy, and they were right to bring him straight in!

Our team checked him over and got him started on fluids and medication to settle his upset tummy, and one of our team members made sure to keep him snuggled up during treatment. By the time Winston headed home, he was already feeling better and back to making that grumpy-little-man face on purpose.

Blood in a pup's stool can come from something minor or something more serious, and puppies can go downhill fast, so it's never one to wait out. Call a vet the same day. We're here evenings and weekends, 24/7.

Maple, a photogenic Golden Retriever who pulls off the blissful eyes-closed look better than anyone, came to UrgentVet McKinney after a rough stretch of vomiting and diarrhea.

Our team got Maple started on fluids and medication to settle that upset tummy. Maple started perking up and on the road to feeling like a goofball again.

Vomiting and diarrhea can dehydrate a dog quickly, so if it happens multiple times, or your pup seems tired or won't drink, get them checked out. And if it starts after your regular vet has closed, we're here evenings and weekends too.

Cayenne, a gentle-giant Great Dane, came to UrgentVet McKinney with a cough that just wouldn't quit. 🐾

Our team took a close listen and found that Cayenne's trachea was irritated and inflamed. We started treatment to calm things down, and our shift lead and SVA got a hug-filled photo out of the visit too ☺️. The good news? Cayenne is breathing easier and on the mend.

A cough that hangs around for more than a day or two, or comes with lethargy, is worth getting checked out. And if it picks up after your regular vet has closed for the day, we're here evenings and weekends too.

Not every outdoor adventure goes according to plan—just ask Maggie! 🐝

Maggie came to UrgentVet with facial swelling from a suspected insect sting, and our team was ready to help. Allergic reactions in pets can happen quickly and may cause swelling, redness, hives, and in some cases, difficulty breathing.

The good news? Maggie is feeling much better! Her swelling has gone down, and she's back to her happy, playful self—just the way we like to see our patients. 💙
