The Carroll County Humane Society is a no-kill animal shelter in McKenzie, Tennessee with no-kill being defined as not euthanizing for time or space. This means no animal is euthanized because they have been at the shelter too long or to make room for another animal waiting to come in. If there is a need to euthanize, it is on a case by case basis relating to health and temper. We are a 501(c)(3)

non-profit organization, with funding coming entirely from private contributions, bequeaths, fundraising and grants.

Born April 6th, this little Aries girl has all the confidence and courage you would expect! As the only girl in a litter of orange boys, she learned early how to hold her own.

Chaos Casserole is fully vetted, full of personality, and would love a home with other animals to play with.

If you are looking for a kitten that’s equal parts sweet, sassy, and fun, Chaos Casserole is your girl!

Hey, friends!

We've been busy getting new cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies ready for adoption!

As we prepare for more transports and adoption events, we're finding ourselves in need of a few supplies:

🐾 Cat carriers
🐾 Small and medium dog carriers
🐾 Medium-sized wire crates

Tomorrow is Friday, and many of us will treat ourselves to a coffee, snack, or other little indulgence.

If you're able, consider donating that amount to help us purchase supplies that make more adoptions possible and allow us to help even more pets.

Every carrier, crate, and dollar makes a difference.

We got into some big cleaning today and realized... we're down to one bottle of bleach! 😳

If you've been thinking about making a donation and want an easy way to help, a jug of bleach goes a long way at the shelter. We use it every day to keep animal areas clean, safe, and healthy.

Whether it's one bottle or several, we'd sure appreciate the help!

Bc we are ready to move some!!! We have sooo many kittens going this week to be spayed or neutered!

By Friday you should 100% make a point to come visit some of the sweetest, prettiest black or blue gray kittens around.

We have long tails, bobbed tails, half tails...ALL spayed or neutered, utd on vaccines and deworming! Just looking for a good home! ⚫️ 💙 🐈‍⬛

DOG SPAY & NEUTER VOUCHERS
ON SALE BEGINNING FRIDAY, JUNE 19 8:00 AM at our shelter (21822 Hwy 22 in McKenzie).

Please read the original post for complete details. Most questions will be answered.

-We will begin sales of dog vouchers at 8 am on Friday at our shelter in McKenzie.

-Vouchers are $60 each for either spays (females) or neuters (males).

-These vouchers are only for use at Huntingdon Animal Clinic and we will make the appointment for you at the time of the voucher purchase. All appointment availability is on Mondays.
-Appointments begin July 13th. There are no holds.

-We will accept exact change or a card payment only.

-Dogs must be a minimum of 12 weeks old and we heavily encourage that they receive vaccines before their appointment. Small breeds should meet a minimum weight requirement of at least 4 lbs.

-These appointments fill up quickly. We encourage you to make sure you can attend the appointment before making it and do not try to make an appointment for a dog that is heavily pregnant.

-Because these fill up quickly, there will be NO rescheduling.

-Vouchers are nonrefundable. These cover the cost of surgery only. They do not cover the cost of pain medication or other medical procedures.

-Carroll, Henry and Weakley County residents only. Please provide proof of residency. (License, mail, etc).

-Yes, we have cat vouchers. Always. $65. Paris Vet Clinic. Call 731-514-0878.

-Dog vouchers are sold in person only at CCHS beginning Friday June 19th. We are open Tues-Fri 8-2 and Sat 8-12.

-You will need to know the approximate age, breed (a guess is ok!), color and name of the dog as well as provide a good contact number for the person responsible for the pet.

-Finally...you do not need to bring the dog with you to purchase the voucher.

-There is a limit of 5 per household.
