Desperately need a foster for this poor pup.
His name is Moon and here is his story:
Moon’s Story
Hi everyone –
We are in desperate need of a foster home or even better a new home for Moon.
He is a black lab mix male, about 5 years old.
He was abandoned on a busy Yelm highway with cars speeding by him that scared him horribly! He tried getting on the school bus and even attempted to get in someone’s car as they were talking to him. Someone managed to get him in their rig and he was placed with a home who was could take him.
Problem has come to light that he’s great with all critters EXCEPT cats. This new home has quite a few cats and he has been very reactive to them, so they are unable to keep him!
Would someone please check with friends, family, neighbors share his story. We are looking for a good home for Moon.
It seems he has had a tough life but is still the sweetest guy.
SDC is having the tumor removed from his leg, and he is being neutered as well. He is on antibiotics to see what is going on with his eye.
He is dog friendly, goat friendly, and horse friendly but he chases cats.
He's very friendly.
Please help us help Moon.

Hello,
We desperately need your help so that we can get this little girl healthy and ready for her new forever home.
Tasha is a 7 1/2 year sh*tzu. A sweet little girl.
The beginning of her life was happy and joyful, until 4 years ago her mother had to move into an assisted living.
The first couple years mom was living independently, walking daily, and getting out. Then, Mom's health took a turn for the worse. Becoming more and more room bound, poor Tasha suffered with UTI infections, pink eye, and joint pain. She got no more walks or being played with, and her Mom would just always leave food down so she wouldn't forget to feed her. Now poor Tasha weighs 19 lbs.
Mom is now very ill, and Tasha is on her own. She's living with one of the workers of the facility.
Yesterday, she had a vet visit, and we found out she is in need of a mass removal in her eye which requires surgery and a mass removal on her ni**le. Also, she needs a dental, and several teeth removed. She has severe dry eye and pink eye still. She has to be on 2 ointment permanently. These are costly.
PLEASE help us by making a donation on our website. The total estimate we got from Yelm Vet was between $2,100 to $2,400.
Thank you for your support. Any amount will help us. Sometimes, it really does take a village.

Daisy's Story

Daisy is a cute little girl with a BIG heart and even bigger personality!
She starts every day the best way she knows how - by greeting you the moment you wake up. She will come right over to you and reach up to give sweet little kisses to make sure your morning starts with a smile.
Daisy loves getting outside and exploring. Walks? Yes, please. Hikes? Even better.
She is happiest when she is out and about with her favorite humans, taking in the sights and smells.
After your adventures, she's more than ready to cuddle up on a soft dog bed for a nap or preferably close to you.
Daisy is affectionate, loyal, and full off charming little quirks that will keep you smiling every day.
Daisy is looking for her forever home where she can share her love, her spins and sweet morning greetings.
If you want a loyal companion who will wake you up with sweet morning kisses, and end the day cuddling by your side, Daisy is ready to meet you.

Daisy is also kennel trained.

This is a courtesy post for Coco. She is not a Second Chance Dog, so please reach out to her owner if you are interested in her.

🐾 Looking for the Right Home for Coco ( please send me a private message or call or text me at 509-860-5835 if you're interested.)

This is Coco, and she’s a sweet, curious girl who deserves a home that can give her the activity and stimulation she thrives on.

Coco turned one year old in December and is primarily a German Shepherd mix, with some Rottweiler, Pitbull, and possibly a few other breeds in her lineage. She’s a beautiful, intelligent dog with a wonderful temperament. She especially seems to love women, but wouldn't have a problem with having a male owner. She has a gentle, eager-to-please personality. Coco is affectionate, curious about the world around her, and very responsive when given guidance.

Her current owners are two wonderful, kind people who truly care about her. After doing their best, they realized Coco simply requires more exercise, stimulation, and socialization than they can reasonably provide since they are in their 80's. This was not an easy decision for them—they feel terrible about needing to rehome her—but they also deserve recognition for honestly acknowledging that Coco’s needs are greater than what they can meet and they want to do the right thing for her.

I (trainer Jodi Holmes) recently assessed Coco’s behavior. She has shown very slight reactivity, which is understandable, given her lack of exposure to the world. She presents as a sweet-natured dog who simply needs more structured exercise, outlets for her energy, and continued socialization. She has been attending doggy daycare for activity and exposure. Though there have been a couple of minor issues there, it's definitely not something that can't be easily resolved.

Coco would likely be a fantastic companion for someone familiar with shepherd-type breeds—someone who enjoys an active dog and understands the importance of exercise, mental stimulation, and continued training. Shepherds are bred to protect the home and the family, so they need a strong leader.

She is up to date on shots, she is spayed, and very well taking care of and in great health. She's not been around many children, nor has she been around cats.

There will be a small rehoming fee, and included with the adoption will be a training session with me, Jodi Holmes, to help set Coco and her new family up for success.

💛 If you’re looking for a loyal, intelligent, and affectionate young dog and can provide the activity and engagement she needs, Coco could be an amazing fit.

📩 Please message for more information or to discuss whether Coco might be the right match for your home.

Here is a sweet dog, named Gracie. We adopted her out a few years ago, and now her family is moving, and due to the circumstances, she can't go. We don't have a foster home. Can you foster her so we can bring her back into our rescue? Or, maybe you would like to adopt?
Right now we are courtesy posting her. Here is her bio.
Gracie is a purebred German Shepherd. She is 7 years old and weighs around 95 pounds. She has been spayed and microchipped.
She has been living with 2 other dogs and loves to run and play in a large fenced backyard. She could use more leash training and is highly motivated by her treats.
She is good with people and children of all ages. Gracie is still trying to figure out cats so slow introductions would be suggested.
She had her tail amputated when she was a puppy and now has somewhat of a bobtail. Gracie is a sweet, loyal and trainable pup that would be a wonderful addition to any family or individual.
Contact information is
Dana - 253-298-0236.
Or, reach out to us and let us know you will foster her. Thank you.

This is a courtesy post. Ella is not a Second Chance Dog.

Meet Ella 🐾
Ella is a beautiful Chocolate and White Lab mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality! Born in October 2024, this young pup is full of energy, love, and curiosity about the world around her.
Ella absolutely thrives on activity—whether it’s a game of fetch, outdoor adventures, or simply being by your side, she’s happiest when she’s included. She’s incredibly people-oriented and forms strong bonds with her humans, making her a loyal and affectionate companion.
Because of her enthusiasm and playful nature, Ella would do best in a home with children in upper elementary age or older. She doesn’t always realize how big and bouncy she is, and her excitement can occasionally knock over smaller kiddos. With continued guidance, she’ll learn to channel that energy in positive ways.
Ella has been raised around two older dogs (ages 5 and 7) since she was just 8 weeks old and does great with them. She enjoys canine companionship and would likely do well with another friendly dog.
She is spayed, microchipped, and crate trained. Ella already knows basic commands like “sit” and “lay,” and since she’s very food motivated, she’s eager to learn more. She’s a smart girl who will thrive with a family committed to continuing her training and providing structure.
Ella loves her toys and bones—anything that keeps her mind busy, especially while she’s in her crate. She’ll do best in an active home that can give her plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and, of course, lots of love.
If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, and energetic companion to grow with your family, Ella might just be your perfect match 💕

4/1 Hi Pup Lovers. Reaching out one more time to see if anyone knows of a home for Buddy. His current foster cannot keep him after tomorrow. Please, if you know of someone that might be able to open up their home please reach out to Laura at 253-792-0420.

Update 3/25-Hello everyone, I (Denise) got to go meet Buddy yesterday. What a little gentleman, he is really quite a sweetie. I would not have know this little guy had a few challenges.
Does anyone know someone looking for a special guy? He is just going to need a slow adjusting pace, but he will be worth it!!!
Here are a couple new pictures.
We urgently need to find a foster or home for Buddy. His current foster cannot keep him after the beginning of April!
He was abandoned at his home for 3 months with someone taking him food and water twice a day, and then leaving him till the next day. Another person rescued him to find him a forever home 4 months ago but hasn’t had any luck and cannot keep him any longer.
He is a 6-year-old yellow lab mix, about 65 pounds. Buddy is neutered, vaccinated, potty trained, recently had his teeth cleaned and in good health.
Due to his difficult time the past 8 months he is in need of a calm home with lots of patience, and TLC. He loves to play tug-a-war and fetch so a fenced yard would be wonderful. He needs you to go outside with him till he builds the trust that you won’t leave him. He will need someone that can help him get over his hurts, fears and watch him open up to your love.
He needs a home with no other pets or children as he is suffering from anxiety right now and is a bit reactive. He definitely doesn’t like any animals on TV and is afraid of feet. He also gets nervous when left alone due to his previous family abandoning him. He has resource guarding issues and does best with a routine.
He has had some training and knows sit, down, no begging, and out of the kitchen.
Considering all that he has been through he is pretty easy going. Buddy is a bit shy and needs slow introductions. He loves getting pets, going for walks in quieter parts of the neighborhood and hanging out when you get home.
Can you open your heart and take Buddy in – he just needs some care and he will be your best Buddy ever!
This is a critical posting for Buddy. Buddy is not a Second Chance Dog, only because we do not have a foster that can take him.
Buddy is located in Tacoma, please contact Laura at 253-792-0420

We are still needing a foster home for sweet Mia, 🐾and Honey, 🦮These dogs are located in Lacey, WA. Mia is dog and cat friendly. Honey is a senior (9 years old) and has some arthritis and because of her pain, she should be the only dog, and only older kids, 10 plus. We will cover all expenses.
