Another Sable success story... Love you Julie
If you have been following Riley and his adopted dogs from Angel Ridge then you know most of the story. But if not, let me fill you in.
Three years ago Riley adopted a senior black pit mix from Angel Ridge that was about 13 yrs. old and this was his first dog ever in 80 yrs. Sadly, the end of this summer, his best friend and companion crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
Soon after Riley came back to Angel Ridge looking for a new companion, he was incredibly lonely.
After visiting the dogs in the kennel, Riley felt connected to Hershey who had been a transfer from Sable Kennel.
Sable Kennel knew that this senior girl (8) who had been picked up as a stray and obviously bred too many times, had very little chance of finding a home being a black pit mix. With her love for people and personality, Angel Ridge said that they would help her find a good home.
Hershey aka Julie, her new name, was adopted by Riley and home they went.
Riley came back to Angel Ridge hoping that we would be able to help him do the paperwork and make Julie a Service Dog so that she could accompany Riley when going on errands and providing support for this senior. Julie has also decided that Riley is a 'Keeper"! ,
