What a fun morning for the ACF crew getting a little XC prep in for the upcoming FRVPC Horse Trials!
All the horses and riders were spot on yesterday, and we could not have asked for a more beautiful day.

Thanks so much to Jen and Jigsaw Farm for the use of their wonderful facility.

And HUGE thank you to Frank Rodgers for stud applying, kid wrangling, video taking, and just being awesome. 😘

AC Recognized First (Remy)
July 4 2009-June 3 2026 RIP

We have had a very difficult week in the ACF family dealing with the loss of our beloved Remy.
I was struggling with the words to express what this incredible mare has meant to so many people (I counted to 22, I’m sure there’s more).

When Remy was born, she was given the name Recognized First.
I don’t think Brett could understand at the time how appropriate this name would be throughout her life.
Yes there were lots of blue ribbons in her future, but oh so much more.

First horse to be trusted again when a rider lost their confidence from a bad fall.

First horse that takes an 11 year old to experience their very first show.

First horse that lights up a 9 year old’s face with the thrill of canter.

First horse that an Event rider that has worked hard for many years finally gets to leave the start box at Training level.

First horse that patiently takes a 6 year old on their very first steps as a new rider.

First horse that takes our cherished daughter and niece to their very first recognized events.

First horse to make a rider getting back on after 20 years feel the joy of the saddle again.

First horse to get our daughter in law over her fear and actually offer a pat on that very soft nose.

First horse to bring so much happiness to so many.

Yes our special Remy. You were Recognized First.

We will miss you dearly. 💔

The ACF crew got their first cross country school of the year this weekend. Addie and Charlie were both super for Abby Kay and Brookelyn Munson. Even Oliver and Judy Stutts-Howells joined the fun with their first cross country jump ever! 😍
Cecil was having some definite “just turned 4 year old” moments but still managed some good behavior. 🤣

We are looking forward to the upcoming season!
