🐾 Get to Know Dr. Leandra, our newest member of the MAH family! 🐾
You’ve already had the chance to meet our newest veterinarian, Dr. Leandra Masokha, but we wanted to share a little more about her and help you get to know her better! ❤️
Dr. Leandra was born and raised in Brazil, where her love for animals began at an early age. As a veterinarian, she is especially passionate about dentistry and internal medicine and loves helping pets live healthier, happier lives. 🐶🐱
For Dr. Leandra, veterinary medicine is about more than treating medical needs. She believes in building trust and creating a comfortable experience for both pets and their families.
When she’s not at the clinic, Dr. Leandra enjoys spending time with her husband and their rescue cat, who is a very special part of their family. 🐱💕 She loves listening to music, curling up with a good book, and especially enjoys cooking for the people she loves. Whether she’s caring for a patient or preparing a meal for her family, Dr. Leandra brings the same warmth, compassion, and love into everything she does. 💙
We are so happy to have Dr. Leandra as part of the McDonough Animal Hospital family! Be sure to say hello the next time you see her! 🐾

🐾We will be CLOSED on Monday, September 7th, for Labor Day. 🐾

We hope you and your family enjoy a safe and relaxing holiday weekend! Before you head out for your Labor Day celebrations, here are a few important pet safety tips to keep your furry family members safe:

☀️ Beat the heat: Avoid outdoor play during the hottest part of the day. Always provide plenty of shade and fresh water.

🚗 Travel smart: If traveling with your pet, make frequent stops for water and potty breaks. Never leave pets in parked cars, even for a few minutes.

🍔 Keep BBQ foods out of reach: Bones, onions, and certain seasonings can be harmful or toxic to pets.

🥵 Watch for overheating: Excessive panting, drooling, weakness, or other signs of heat exhaustion can be serious. Move your pet to a cool area and contact a veterinarian immediately.
