If I have a legacy in Glens, it will not be for having a Westminster Best of Breed or a number one ranked dog, but it will be that I tried my best to do what I felt was right for the breed, to preserve them, to protect them, to educate the buying public and to strive with every litter to breed the healthiest dog I could with the tools available to me.

The 151st Westminster Kennel Club 2027 dog show will take place on February 1-2 at the Javits Convention Center (breed judging) and Madison Square Garden (groups and BIS).
Our judge for Glens will once again be Mr. Bruce Schwartz of Los Angeles, CA.
He previously judged Glens in 2017 when his BOB was GCH CH Finnabair Double D Friend of a Friend handled by Beverly Wright-Osment.
Important dates:
October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2026 - Qualifying period for Invited Top 5 dogs
Entries open November 6, 2026
Entries close November 20, 2026

I just learned that some members have sent donations via PayPay which the club no longer uses. It was linked to our previous bank account. We accept donations by check payable to GITCA or via Zelle. The Glen (GITCA) National Specialty takes place in less than 8 weeks at Macungie, PA in conjunction with the Montgomery County Kennel Club show on Sunday, October 4.
Our Specialty Flyer with all the important details about the show went out by email to club members on July 22.
It contained some very important deadlines on page 4.
1. Trophy Donations deadline: AUGUST 15
2. Catalog Ads deadline: AUGUST 15
3. Lifetime Award applications deadline: AUGUST 15.
August 15th is this Saturday! If you did not see the email with the flyer attachment, please message or email me and I can forward it to you.
Catalog ads and Lifetime awards applications are restricted to club members, but ANYONE can make a trophy donation (no minimum required) in honor of a special Glen. Donations will be acknowledged in a full page ad with name of Glen and donor if you choose in the Montgomery catalog.
Please ask any questions, time is of the essence! Your support of the Glen club is so important and our members and Glen owners have never let us down. Thanks in advance for your support.

GCH CH Tipperary O Sullivan's March OHG ("Sully") being shown here with owner-handler, Darla, is currently (through June 30) the #2 owner-handled Glen in the country with a total of 245 points. July stats should be out in about a week.

This propaganda is directed at banning certain dog breeds residing in the UK, but is probably happening here in the US as well. PETA's goal is to abolish the breeding and ownership of ANY and ALL animals by humans.
What can we do here in the US to stop this insanity?
How would you feel if the breeding and owning of Glen of Imaal Terriers (and other breeds) was made illegal???

As reported in the Glen National Specialty Show flyer, sent out by email this year, we (GITCA) are asking folks to contribute to our general trophy fund...
We have three levels of donors: Gold ($100 or more), Silver ($50 up to $100) and Bronze (up to $50). All donations will be recognized in a full page ad in the Montgomery County Kennel Club show catalog. The donor's and the Glen's name can be published and a few brief words.
Pay tribute to a beloved Glen, past or present, that has changed your lives for the better.
You do not have to be a GITCA club member to honor a special Glen.

I reported this fraudulent "Glen" page not once, but twice and Facebook has finally taken it down. If you notice it missing, you can thank me. It was full of stolen photos and repetitive posts seeking likes such as "No one thinks I am beautiful" and "my Glen is sick", or" my Glen died"...etc.
