With opening day just around the corner, I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself!

Hi! I’m Claire, the owner of Kobey’s Grooming Company.

Kobey’s is named after my childhood dog, Kobey, a handsome Wheaten Terrier who stole the heart of everyone he met. He was one of the biggest reasons I fell in love with animals and inspired me to pursue a career caring for them.

My fiancé and I are definitely animal lovers—we share our home with 14 pets! Our furry (and not-so-furry) family includes two Goldendoodles, a Bichon/Poodle mix, a Pit Bull mix, a cat, a bearded dragon, a corn snake, and a handful of chickens.

After attending West Liberty University and majoring in Zoo Science, I wasn’t quite sure which path I wanted to take. That changed when I started working at a grooming salon as a bather. Through hard work, training, and experience, I worked my way up to becoming the groomer I am today.

Opening my own salon has been a dream of mine, and I couldn’t have done it without the love and support of my family. They have encouraged me every step of the way, and I’m so grateful for everything they’ve done to help make this dream a reality.
