Humane Society of McCormick County No-kill rescue for homeless cats and dogs in McCormick County. Adopt into loving homes. All-volunteer We offer low-cost spay to any cat or dog in the County.

The Humane Society of McCormick County is a no-kill animal rescue. We pick up homeless cats and dogs and find them loving homes. We are 100% funded by donations, grants and money raised through fundraising activities. All money raised goes to helping animals because we are all volunteers. The county does not have a county-run shelter. We care for the dogs and cats that would otherwise have no other place to go.

We were so lucky to welcome back a wonderful group of volunteers from Ft. Gordon yesterday 💛

They spent time loving on the cats and dogs. (Mollie was especially grateful 🐾 for the extra attention.) They walked Brandie, Mollie, and Murray, and jumped right in to help clean and organize throughout the shelter.

Their hard work made a huge impact and the cats and dogs felt every bit of that care.

Thank you for your time, your energy, and the love you shared with our animals.

Sweet Daisy is on the mend after her C-section on Monday 💕

She’s resting and healing. We’re so grateful she’s safe and that she received the care she needed right when she needed it.

Moments like this are a reminder of how important spay and neuter truly are. Because Daisy was in our care, her story has a safe and hopeful ending—and that’s what we want for every cat and dog.

Thank you for making that possible. We couldn’t do this without you. 🐾

We have kittens! 🐱 These 5 beautiful babies, 3 girls and 2 boys, were born on Monday by C-section. Mom Daisy, picked up as a stray in the Modoc area, is recovering.
