Hello, everyone! We want to make sure everyone is aware of an issue in NW Washington. There have been several reports of dogs with positive tests for Canine Adenovirus Type 2 and Canine Respiratory Coronavirus. It is spread mainly through direct dog-to-dog contact and by inhalation of airborne viral particles from coughing or sneezing of infected dogs. This has mostly been in the Port Angeles area, but we know that during the summer many of us travel with our pups.

Symptoms to look out for:
Dry hack/ cough
Gagging/retching
Nasal and ocular discharge
Mild fever and lethargy
Sneezing
Decreased appetite
If you notice any of these symptoms with your dogs, please stay away from dog parks, doggy daycare, self dog washing stations, pet stores and any public play area for pups.
Again, we have had NO REPORTS OF ISSUES AT COUNTRY INN, but are posting this as an advisory.
