BIRDS NEEDED FOR DOG TRAINING 🐦

Mountain Top Dog Training is looking for flight-capable pigeons and/or quail to use for bird-dog and upland/fowl hunting training sessions.

Birds MUST be able to fly and be suitable for live-bird training. I’m specifically looking for healthy, flight-capable birds that can be safely handled and used for repeated training sessions.

Looking for:
🐦 Flying pigeons
🐦 Flying quail
🤝 One-time or ongoing sources welcome
📍 Local to the area preferred

If you raise, sell, or know someone who provides flying training birds, please message Mountain Top Dog Training. I’d love to connect and discuss availability and pricing.

Thank you!

🦆🐾 Fowl hunting training!

A little look at last week’s fowl hunting training session! We’re working on some of the skills this pup will need to become a reliable hunting partner — dummy retrieves, “wooh,” facing, and finishing.

Hunting training looks a little different than your typical obedience work. We’re building communication, control, confidence, and a dog that understands how to work with their handler while still thinking for themselves.

I love getting to watch these dogs figure things out and seeing their confidence grow with every session. This pup is putting in the work, and I’m excited to see where we go from here! 🦆🎯🐕

One step closer to having a hunting partner you can count on.
