Rounding out the Wildlife Legends team is Matt Diemer,

Matt started Wildlife Legends Taxidermy in 2007 after completing a taxidermy course in Thompson falls Montana.
The education he received there was a start, but over the years Matt has revised his process, to now using the best and latest techniques in the industry.
When the volume of work grew, it became more than Matt could handle on his own, so he trained and built a team of talented taxidermist around him to help handle the workload and to be able to offer better turn around times to our customers.
Matt has competed at the state, national, and world level, winning many awards that are highlighted by many state champion awards, multiple “Best of show” awards in both Michigan and Ohio. In 2022 Matt won “North American champion” with a bobcat, and also received a “3rd place in the world” Medallion for a bobcat mount.
Matt and Kate got married in 2010 and have an 8 yr old son named Ben. They live in the Vogel center area.
In his spare time Matt enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and trapping with his son.

Next is Kate Diemer

Kate is Matt’s wife and has a background in office management and accounting, she does the behind the scenes office related work and steps in where needed to help the business thrive.
Kate does a huge amount of running for the business every year, from delivering and picking up tanning and rugging orders, to habitat runs, makes product orders, takes phone calls and lets you know when your mount is done.
Kate homeschools our 3rd grade son throughout the year, and serves on our local Christian homeschool board, as well as teaches woodworking classes for the group.
Kate enjoys spending time with her family, gardening and being outdoors.

Next on the Wildlife Legends Taxidermy team is Mark Diemer,

Mark has been part of our team for 4 years now, before joining our team he owned and operated his families centennial dairy farm. Which he still crop farms today.

Mark handles all of our turkey fan mounts, and antler plaques, his eye for symmetry helps him achieve exceptional results for our customers, he also preps forms, and sets all of the antlers for the 300+ whitetail shoulder mounts we put together every year.
He is also a huge part of our tanning process, ensuring each pickle is measured and mixed properly ultimately ensuring a professionally tanned skin with maximum stretch.
All of the little things he does really makes a huge the difference in the efficiency in the studio.

In his spare time Mark enjoys hunting, fishing, and working with rocks, he has a complete shop of tools set up to polish and make custom jewelry out of rocks and gems.

Next is Steve Koetje,

Steve started with us in back in 2021, if you recognize him, it’s probably because he worked as an electrician in the area for many years before retiring from the trade and joining our team.
Steve is in charge of creating all of the habitat scenes that go along with the mounts our studio produces, he custom designs and creates each habitat to the specifications of our customers. He is also a very talented woodworker, making custom plaques, pack mount frames and habitat bases. Theres not much he can’t do!
Steve has excellent work ethic and makes quick work of any task he sets out to accomplish.
Steve and his wife Tammy live in the Falmouth area.
In his spare time Steve enjoys fishing and four wheeling in Canada, going on hunting trips with his brother, and tinkering with his hot rod.

Next up we have Riley Moggo,

Riley graduated from Marion school, He joined our team in December of 2021 after he received a bachelors degree in welding.
Riley fit right in and quickly learned all of the “ins and outs” of the business, he is such an important part of our team here, helping bring organization and new ideas, he has excelled in every area, Riley has a passion for fish taxidermy and has won multiple ribbons for his fish work at the Michigan taxidermy competition, Riley is also a very talented Mammal taxidermist.
Riley also heads up our tanning department, seeing skins through the tanning process and ensuring properly tanned skins and maximum stretch.
Riley married his high school sweetheart Lyly in August of 2025, they live in Marion Michigan.
Riley also enjoys Spending time with his family and friends, he enjoys Fishing, hunting, as well as playing basketball and softball in his spare time.

First up is Ben Hoekwater,

Ben has been an important part of our team since 2018, at the age of 15 he started his journey in taxidermy with us. He has come a long way in a short time, He has excelled in mammal taxidermy both in our studio and in the competition world, He has won awards at the state and national level, these are highlighted by being awarded State champion and winning “Best of show” for a red fox he mounted last year.
Ben is also highly skilled in custom form alterations and molding and casting, he designs and creates “one of a kind” pieces for our clients to enjoy.
Ben has been married to the love of his life Abby since October of 2024, they live in Evart Michigan.
Ben enjoys spending time with friends and family, hunting, fishing, and playing softball during the summer months.

We are so blessed to have been able to spend our first summer in our new building!! We look forward to seeing everyone this season.
Now that we are moved into our new studio we wanted to take the time to introduce all of our team members, that way all of our followers can put a “name with a face” when they stop buy our new studio this fall.
We are so thankful for our team members! they all play a huge roll in bringing all of our customers trophies back to life!!

We took a trip down south to pick up our order from Ohio Taxidermy Supply. We got to catch up with everyone there. It was awesome to have the opportunity to take a tour of their facility, and a blast seeing how everything is produced. We even got to see some of the new products that they are working on for production in the near future. We look forward to trying them out when they come available.
We are blessed to be able to do business with the hard working folks at OTS. They have some of the best products on the market.
These should keep us busy until the fall!
