$50.00 for altered Dogs and Puppies

$35.00 for altered Cats and Kittens

All dogs receive their first DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, de wormer and flea prevention and microchipped. All Cats receive their first FVRCP vaccine, de wormer and flea prevention and microchipped. We have partnered with the University of Florida Veterinary Community Outreach Program as well as local Veterinarians and attempt to get the animals spayed/neutered, heartworm tested, and rabies vaccinated prior to adoption but we can only take a few at a time each week. If this procedure has not been completed prior to adoption, the adopter will have 30 days from the date of adoption to spay/neuter the pet and return the proof to the shelter. Statute 823.15

All adoptions are subject to application approval. Animals currently in the home must be kept current on vaccines through a licensed Veterinarian. Intake Policy: Suwannee Co. does not have a leash law. Dogs are allowed to roam; however, they are not allowed to be a nuisance. Please do not pick up a roaming animal as animals are considered property. If your neighbor's animal comes on your property, please do not feed it as it will stay. Please call animal services so they can address the issue with the owner. Please do not bring in an animal without calling the shelter first. We are a STRAY facility only! We will help you in any way we can by providing resources for you as well as recommended veterinarians to spay and neuter. Overcrowding in shelters leads to outbreaks, euthanasia and neglect in animal care. We ask you check with your neighbors.

Meet Silly Milly! 🐾🐈

🐾 From Shelter Cat to World Traveler: Silly Milly’s Story 🌎❤️

Back in November 2020, Silly Milly came to our shelter as a senior cat looking for a loving home. Or so we thought… turns out, Milly had a little more life (and adventure!) in her than anyone realized! 😹

Her owner recently reached out to give us an update, and we couldn’t be happier to hear just how wonderfully Milly’s story has unfolded, six years later.

Since her adoption, Milly has become a world-class traveler, accompanying her person through many different chapters and life stages. From new places to new adventures, she’s been there — loved, cherished, and right where she belongs. ❤️

What started as one shelter adoption turned into a lifetime of memories, companionship, and adventures that neither Milly nor her human could have known were waiting for them.

And THIS is why adoption matters. 🐾

Adoption starts with one decision. One act of kindness. One person choosing to open their heart and their home.

But that decision doesn’t stop there. It ripples outward — changing the life of the animal who gets a second chance, changing the life of the person who gains a beloved companion, and creating countless moments, memories, and connections along the way.

One adoption can become a lifetime of love.
One act of kindness can become an entire story.
And sometimes, that story takes you around the world. 🌎🐱💕

Keep being part of the ripple. Adopt. Love. Share. Give them a chance. ❤️

🐾 7 Sweet Puppies Looking for Their Forever Homes! 🐾

We have 7 adorable hound mix puppies looking for loving foster or adoptive homes! These little ones are all under 10 pounds, but they come with a whole lot of personality, puppy chaos, and cuteness. ❤️

They’re looking for patient, loving families who are ready for all the fun, learning, and occasional mischief that comes with raising a puppy. If you have room in your heart and home for a little bundle of chaos and cuteness, one of these sweet pups could be the perfect match!

🏡 FOSTERING IS AT NO COST TO YOU!

Our shelter provides the puppies’ initial Bordetella, DAPP, Panacur, flea prevention (and microchip at 8 weeks) before they head into foster. Your role is simply to provide a safe, loving home where they can learn, grow, socialize, and experience all the joys of being a puppy while they grow old enough for their spay/neuter and rabies vaccination.

❤️ Interested in adopting?

Adoption fees are $50, plus a $25 refundable deposit toward the puppy’s required spay/neuter and rabies vaccination, for a total of $75 at adoption. Once we receive proof that the required surgery and vaccination have been completed, the $25 deposit will be refunded to you.

📍 Come meet them:

🐾 Meet Eve — Sometimes the Second Chance Is the One That Leads You Home. 🐾

Sweet Eve is back with us and looking for her forever family — and we’re determined to make sure the next match is the right one. ❤️

Eve is a beautiful 7-month-old black-and-white Lab Retriever mix weighing in at 21.27 lbs. She’s a healthy young girl who still has plenty of puppyhood left to enjoy!

Her first adoption simply wasn’t the right fit. Eve is still learning what it means to be a well-mannered young dog, and like many puppies her age, she needs patience, consistency, structure, and a family who is ready to help her learn. Sometimes, finding the perfect match takes a little more than one try — and that’s okay. 🐶💕

✨ A few things to know about Eve:
• 🖤 7 months old
• 🤍 Black & white Lab Retriever mix
• ⚖️ 21.27 lbs
• 🩺 Healthy
• 💉 Rabies vaccination is up to date
• ✂️ Spayed
• 🐾 Ready for her next chapter!

Eve’s first adoption may not have been her final destination — it may just have been one step closer to finding the family that’s truly meant for her.

Could that family be you? ❤️

Please share Eve’s story and help us find the patient, committed, loving family who will give this sweet girl the forever home she’s been waiting for. 🏡🐾
