BBQ season is here… and your pets have officially clocked in as the cleanup crew!

Some paw prints never fade.

On Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day, we honor the pets who may no longer be by our side, but will always be a part of our hearts.

They were there for our happiest days, our hardest moments, and all the ordinary ones in between. Their love was unconditional, their loyalty unwavering, and the memories they left behind are a gift we'll carry forever.

Today, we invite you to remember them. Share a favorite photo, tell us their name, or simply take a quiet moment to reflect on the joy they brought into your life.

Though they are gone from our sight, they are never gone from our hearts.

School may be back in session, but the summer heat isn’t going anywhere!

Summer break may be over, but here in Texas, those hot temperatures are still sticking around. Unfortunately, extreme heat can be deadly for our pets and has already taken the lives of many animals.

Please help keep your pets safe:

• Keep them in the shade or, preferably, in a cool indoor space.

• Make sure they always have access to plenty of fresh water.

• Avoid strenuous activity during the hottest parts of the day.

• Never leave your pet in a parked vehicle—even for a short time.

Know the signs of heat stroke: excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, confusion, collapse, or seizures.

If you suspect your pet is suffering from heat stroke, seek veterinary care immediately. Heat stroke is an emergency and can become life-threatening very quickly.

Stay cool, stay safe, and keep those paws protected!

Build a pet emergency kit with:

• Days of food and fresh water

• Any prescription medications

• A leash, harness, or carrier

• Copies of vaccination and medical records

• ID tags and an up-to-date microchip

• Bowls, waste bags/litter, and a favorite blanket or toy for comfort
