We received some very unexpected and heartbreaking news from our trainer this morning. Phoenix was scheduled to run a hunt test today, but instead, she was rushed to the emergency vet with a flipped stomach. It kills me to have to say that she did not survive. She was our baby. We spoiled her rotten and took her everywhere we could every chance we had. She was the first dog I ever allowed to sleep in our bed. Her spot was by my side. She was part of the family. Some of you have her puppies, and you know what an amazing dog she was. Cherish those babies and snuggle them tight. I wish we'd had more time with her, and she will never be forgotten.
