🐾✨ TIP TUESDAY: Let’s Talk About Matting! ✨🐾

Those little tangles may not look like a big deal at first, but mats can tighten close to your dog’s skin and become uncomfortable or even painful. 🐶💕

The best way to prevent them? Regular brushing AND combing between grooming appointments!

🪮 Pay extra attention to the spots that tend to mat fastest:
• Behind the ears
• Under the collar or harness
• Armpits
• Legs and paws
• Belly
• Around the tail

✨ Groomer Tip: After brushing, run a metal comb all the way through the coat from the skin outward. If the comb gets caught, there’s probably still a tangle hiding underneath!

Keeping up with your pup’s coat at home helps make grooming appointments easier, more comfortable, and gives us a better chance of keeping that fluffy style you love. 🥰✂️

A little maintenance between appointments goes a LONG way! 🐾💕

🐾✨ TIP TUESDAY! ✨🐾

Did you know regular grooming can actually make grooming day easier for your pup? 🛁✂️

Keeping your dog on a consistent 4–8 week grooming schedule (depending on their breed, coat and lifestyle) can help:

🐶 Prevent painful mats & tangles
🐾 Keep nails at a healthy length
🛁 Reduce excess shedding & buildup
💕 Help your pup become more comfortable with the grooming process
✂️ Keep their coat looking and feeling its best

And here’s the big one: Don’t wait until your pup looks like they need groomed! Regular maintenance is much easier on their coat—and often on the pup, too. ❤️

Not sure how often your dog should be coming in? Ask me! I’d be happy to recommend a grooming schedule based on your pup’s individual needs.
