I wanted to give out some advice on brushing your dogs, a lot of ppl bring in a dog and they say the dog isn’t matted...if you look at the dog, the hair looks brushed and Matt free.. until you try to put a comb through it..
a matted dog is a uncomfortable dog, matts pull the dogs skin, can cause sores and makes grooming painful
Ppl get upset bc groomers charge more for matted dogs, but ppl need to realize that it takes longer because we have to go slower so we don’t cut the dog, risk of getting bit is higher bc the dog is hurting and it dulls our blades to cut through matts.long hair dogs need to be brushed everyday, use a slicker brush then go all the way to skin with a metal comb, if u find a Matt.. use a dematting tool .. picture below.
