One of our bus drivers, Heather, was able to capture these photos of Remy at a distance and we just had to share them! Remy is the first camel we have ever had that loves water. He's relished the rain and now seems to think he is a water buffalo! There's never a dull moment at the zoo. =)

We've had lots of questions about this weekend. We are open and buses are operating rain or shine. We will also be open on Memorial Day from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. No reservation is required.

We're now operating on our spring schedule and are open each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. The last safari bus leaves at 4 p.m. No reservation is required.

If you have a larger group of 20 or more, please call ahead: 276-637-6754. We are currently scheduling school field trips, church groups, summer camps, and birthday parties!

Remy and Puff have sure missed all of you! Make plans to see them this weekend. The safari buses will be running on Saturday and Easter Sunday and no reservation is required. These two are the stars of the safari. You never know if they’re trying to steal a kiss or a feed bag. Either way, these guys are memorable!
