To the best of my ability, I will keep your pet on a schedule they are accustomed to. This ensures they can rely on their daily routine with very limited change. I am dedicated to each and every pet in my care. I have worked extensively with pets with special needs, including my very own pets at home. If your pet has any special needs, such as daily medications, treatments, or other health issues/concerns, rest assured I understand firsthand the importance of proper and timely administering. They’re back!! It’s been way too long since I’ve seen Murray and Shadoe!❤️

It may have been awhile since I last saw them, but they sure remembered that when I show up, it means lots of fun and plenty of fetch!

I recently had the pleasure of spending a weekend with these sweet faces. Between an overnight stay and several drop-ins throughout the day, we stayed plenty busy! From fetch to cuddles and just sitting outside enjoying the incredible weather, I’d say it was a pretty great weekend catching up.

Murray and Shadoe are familiar faces around here, but Earnie is new. I loved getting to know him during our overnight stay.

Can we also take a moment to appreciate sweet Shadoe? This beautiful girl is 15 years young! She may not be able to chase a ball like she used to, but her smile can still light up a room!❤️

Every year when I get my reminder that it’s time to renew my Pet Sitters International membership, I always think to myself, another successful year in the books and here’s to another year of doing what I love.

New Kids on the Block!

Please help me welcome these two adorable new faces to the Happy Paws family! Say hi to Zelie and Louis! Aren’t they just the cutest little pair?

Louis and Zelie are adorable Bishon Frises with totally different vibes but the same amount of cuteness. Louis is a little on the shy side, and his parents did mention that he tends to be nervous around new people.

Zelie was the complete opposite. She greeted me at the door with a toy, all hellos and no hesitation. She was ready to go the moment I arrived.

Two totally different personalities, both absolute sweethearts. I can’t wait to see these two again.❤️

Meet the absolutely precious Hobie! I just love his story. Knowing that he started out as a community cat and had so many people looking after him says so much about the wonderful cat he is. Hobie is loving, affectionate, and such a joy to spend time with.

My clients said he’s the one who adopted them, and they couldn’t be happier that he did. I think he knew exactly what he was doing when he picked his family. Hobie didn’t just find a home, he found where he belongs!

Every pet has a story, and there’s something incredibly special about seeing a former community cat settled into a loving home, knowing he’s safe, loved, and cared for. What an honor it was to get to know and care for this sweet boy. ❤️

When you’re this handsome, of course your name is Gustave. Would you believe this handsome boy is 15 years old and living with stage 3 kidney disease? You’d never know it by looking at him.

It’s such a privilege to be trusted to care for him while his mom travels for work. It’s a trust I never take for granted. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know him and becoming part of his care team. And I could seriously get lost in those eyes.❤️

Sometimes it’s just the little things that make a drop-in extra special and help build a bond with the pets I care for. Max gets medication mixed in Churu. I started offering him the spoon to lick just to make sure he got every last bit. And now it’s become our thing. He waits beside me while I’m preparing his medicine so he can lick the spoon, and he licks it clean.

I’m more than just their pet sitter-I’m part of their village.❤️

It’s the happy faces when I walk through the door. The favorite toys we play with. The belly rubs, lap cuddles, potty breaks, routines, and all the little things I learn about each pet along the way.

My goal isn’t to just check in on your pets, it’s to build a relationship with them so they feel comfortable, safe, and genuinely happy while you’re away.

Because when they start greeting me like a friend and curling up in my lap like family, that’s the best of this job.

I’m enjoying my drop-ins with this sweet boy while his family is away. I haven’t seen Hutch in what feels like forever, but we picked up right where we left off. He knows when I walk through that door, he’s in for a good game of fetch and lots of cuddles.🥰

Communication is a HUGE part of pet sitting!

When you trust someone with your pets, you shouldn’t have to wonder how they’re doing. That’s why sending photos, videos, and text updates is such an important part of running a pet sitting business.

Whether you’re gone for a few hours, a weekend, or an entire vacation, updates give you peace of mind knowing your pets are safe, happy, eating, playing, and being cared for.

I love sending my clients little updates during overnight stays or drop-in visists. Sometimes it’s a cute picture, a silly video, or simply a message letting you know:

🐶 They ate their meal
💧 Fresh water was given
🐾 They had their potty breaks or enjoyed a walk
💊 Medications were given
💩 Potty habits are normal
😻 They’re happy and doing well
🏠 Everything at home looks good

Communication is also important when something doesn’t seem quite right. As a pet sitter, I want my clients to know if I notice changes in their pet’s behavior, energy level, or anything else unusual.

Pet sitting isn’t just about taking care of pets. It’s also about helping pet parents feel at ease while they’re away.
