This past weekend Foxake and Moonstone crew headed to Great Barrington, MA for a scent work trial at Camp Danbee.

Kai finished his SHDN title with a second place, and qualified in SCA and SIA on Sunday.

Reign was in excellent her first time and was 11th out of 41 in SCE Saturday and 5th out of 41 on Sunday. She also qualified in SBE on Sunday in another large class.

Rune picked up her first SBN leg on Sunday, two more to go!

Congrats to Debbie Hemmings Cournoyer , Karen Bahr and Raye French on a successful weekend.

On Friday Reign, Rune and Kai, along with Brody and Debbie Hemmings Cournoyer traveled to the Saratoga National Historical Park in Stillwater, NY to take the tour and participate in the Bark Ranger program. Due to time constraints as we had to be in Massachusetts for a scent work trial, we opted to take the 10 Mile Auto loop tour and stopped at the points of interest to walk around and read the historical informational signs.

There are so many places to walk. We will definitely be going back when we have more time to explore the walking trails as well. They even have horse trails!

The park has a very nice little gift shop with additional bark Ranger merchandise available such as collars, leashes, bandanas and p**p bag dispensers. Lots of other very nice items as well, The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with us deciding how to explore. We went out, did our tour and our little walks, took a number of photos and came back to the visitors center to get our bark Ranger certificates and site specific tag. (No cost for certificate or tags.)

The Foxake and Moonstone crew had a big weekend! We went to a 3 day fastcat in Owego hosted by the Tioga County Kennel Club. This was their first fast cat event and they nailed it. Club members and volunteers were top notch, and it ran so smooth. We had hot hazy sun, torrential rain with lightning and a beautiful cool day Sunday.

If you are in Apalachin, NY check out the Blue Dolphin restaurant. It was fantastic with very generous portions.

A big thanks to Greg and Paula Maria with Hudson Valley Lure Coursing for keeping our dogs running safely in the conditions, and encouraging the newcomers. This is why we prefer to run with you. Also a huge thanks for choosing Rune for Lure Operator Choice on Sunday. You really do go above and beyond for us handlers.

We then wrapped up the weekend at the Robert J. Wehle Park in Henderson, NY for the Bark Ranger program.
