So many of you have reached out asking how you can support Bell during her recovery, so we put together a small list for anyone who has been asking.

Right now, Bell isn’t able to walk on a leash or wear a collar or harness, which means we have one very energetic puppy with a whole lot of puppy brain to keep busy.

While her body needs time to rest and heal, keeping her mind working is going to be a big part of making recovery a little easier. We added a few enrichment toys, activities, and other things that can help keep her occupied during all of this downtime. We also added some pajamas to help keep her stitches covered and clean while everything heals.

There is absolutely no expectation to purchase anything. We simply wanted to have something available since so many people have kindly asked how they can help.

More than anything, we appreciate how much love everyone has already shown this sweet girl. Bell has a lot of people rooting for her, and we’re excited to watch her get stronger every day. 🐾

Our trainer, Kaylee, also known as Kit Kat, picked up a pretty special girl last night from Friends of the Blount County Animal Center.

Bell is a shelter dog who will be spending the next 3–4 months with Kaylee as a long-term medical foster while she recovers from some pretty significant injuries.

Bell and her brother were dumped on someone’s property tied together and then tied to an object. When the property owner found them, animal control was called. Bell came in with a large wound across her neck, another wound stretching from one armpit to the other, and some scraped up ears. She has undergone surgery and is currently on quite the list of medications.

For now, Bell has one job and that’s to rest and heal.

Over the next few months, Kaylee will be giving her plenty of TLC, helping her experience some of the good things life has to offer, learning more about who Bell is, and eventually preparing her for the day she’s healthy enough to find her forever home.

This is where we ask our Foothills K9 community to pitch in and help…

You’re going to be seeing Bell’s face quite a bit on our social medias. Our goal is to get her face and story out into the community NOW so that when she’s finally cleared for adoption, there’s already an army of people rooting for her.

So when you see Bell on our page, we kindly ask you guys to please like, comment and SHARE.

For now, Kaylee will handle the healing while you guys help us make sure the whole community knows her name.

Meet Nala!! This pretty girl is here for her Training Retreat, and we’ve got some important work ahead of us! Nala’s parents reached out for help navigating her reactivity and, more importantly, finding a realistic management plan that works for her and their everyday life. We’ll also be introducing muzzle conditioning as another layer of safety and management. Not as a punishment, but as a tool that can give Nala more opportunities to safely experience the world. We are excited to see what we learn about this girl over the next few weeks!!!

Dolly Parton’s love for dogs followed her throughout her life. Her very first single was fittingly titled “Puppy Love,” and decades later she launched Doggy Parton, a pet line that supported Willa B. Farms Animal Rescue. She also shared stories about Popeye, the Boston Terrier she gave to her husband Carl, who became a deeply loved part of their family.

From the Smoky Mountains to the entire world, Dolly never forgot where she came from—or the animals she loved along the way.

Rest easy, Dolly. East Tennessee won’t be the same without you. 🦋🤍🐾
