Winky and Murray reporting for porch patrol duty.

Murray officially tips the scales at 40 pounds, so we don’t call him “Potato” anymore. These days, his nickname is “The Big Galloot.” For those unfamiliar with the term, a galloot is an old-fashioned word for a big, awkward, good-natured fellow, which pretty much describes Murray perfectly.

Winky still handles the brains of the operation while The Big Galloot provides the muscle. Together, they keep a close eye on squirrels, delivery trucks, and any other suspicious activity in the neighborhood.

Murray doesn't know it's Monday. He only knows he's happy, loved, and it's time for his morning wiggles. Excuse the fluff everywhere, but Murray has recently discovered that toys contain squeakers. Naturally, this means every squeaker must be located, extracted, and an intense game of keep-away can begin. Life is good.

Friday nights are the best!

When Dad goes to watch high school football, we get our own adventure... the dog park!

Nothing beats running full speed, playing chase, and wearing each other out. By the time we get home, we’re happy, tired, and ready for treats.

Some dogs greet the morning with a yawn. Murray greets it with a wiggle.

Every single day, when Amelia opens his kennel, he rolls onto his back and wiggle worms across the floor because he's just that excited to see the day begin and celebrate another day of being alive. We're pretty sure nobody is happier to wake up than this goofy boy.

It's a simple reminder to find joy in the little things and start each day with a grateful heart.

We could all learn a little something from Murray.

Winky: “You’re sitting on me.”
Murray: “Technically, I was sitting on you. Now I’m standing over you.”
Winky: “That is not an improvement.”
Murray: “Relax. I’m just conducting a quality assurance inspection.”
Winky: “Of what?”
Murray: “Your ears. Your face. Your patience. Mostly your patience.”

Winky is currently questioning every life decision that led to becoming Murray’s favorite piece of furniture, while Murray remains committed to being as close as physically possible at all times.

I’d like to take a moment to address the allegations regarding my behavior earlier this evening.

While I can neither confirm nor deny being a complete jerk all night, I acknowledge that there may have been excessive zoomies, selective hearing, dramatic attitude, and a few questionable decisions made in the heat of the moment.

As a gesture of goodwill, I am currently offering my sincerest apology in the form of maximum snuggles and emotional support head placement. Please note that this apology is binding only until I spot a squirrel, hear a snack bag, or decide chaos sounds fun again.
