SPRING FLING FUNDRAISER is coming, so mark your calendars for this fun annual event!

Tickets do need to be purchased in advance, so don’t miss out. $15 for adults, $10 for ages 4-17, and under 4 are free!

Spend an afternoon with our beloved animals. Tickets also include a vegan meal of a Vida’s hot dog, baked beans, potato salad, chips, fruit, water, iced tea and lemonade.

You can also enter to win one of a dozen fun raffle items (including a canvas print of a photo of our beloved Fiona), browse the craft and merchandise tables, and treat yourself to dessert at our vegan bake sale featuring DIY Cookie Party and 108 Delectable Delights.

Every animal at Sunrise Sanctuary has a story. Our nonprofit, volunteer-run haven is nestled on 19 acres in Marysville, Ohio, where 140+ domestic and companion animals call home, many of whom were once abused or neglected. Here, every resident finds safety, love, and a place to live out their days surrounded by people who care.

This is one of our biggest annual fundraisers, so make sure to reserve your spot! Tickets need to be purchased in advance and are $15 for adults, $10 for ages 4-17, and under 4 are free!

You will have plenty of time with the animals 🦆🦃🐓🐐🫏🐴🐷🐮🐈. You can tour our grounds 🥾, ask questions ❓, and take photos 📸

🐐Have you ever wondered what goats really eat? Spoiler alert: not tin cans or newspapers.

If you’ve ever heard that goats will eat anything, we’re here to set the record straight. Goats are actually pretty discerning eaters and the science behind how they digest food is fascinating.

Goats are browsers, not grazers.
Unlike cows and sheep, goats don’t typically graze with their heads down in a pasture. They prefer to reach up to nibble from our feeding racks. It’s their natural instinct, and you’ll often catch our goats stretching up to grab some tasty hay, like Jefferson in the photo.

Fun fact, the myth about goats eating tin cans likely finds its origins in the fact that goats were known to eat the paper off of the cans to get to the glue which was like a sweet treat for them. But our goats are fed a balanced diet that does not include tin cans or their labels!
