☀️🐴 Now THAT was a day for a horse show!

The OHWDA Too Hot To Trot Western Dressage Show at Twin Towers Horse Park gave us blue skies, beautiful weather, great horses, great rides, and plenty of reasons to smile!

Between riding tests, reading for friends, cheering from the sidelines, enjoying freestyles, and catching up with familiar faces, it was simply a FUN day spent with good people and good horses.

And despite the name… Too Hot To Trot treated us pretty darn well this year! 😉☀️

Of course, when you’re already at Twin Towers on a beautiful day, why call it quits when the show is over? A little post-show cross-country schooling was the perfect way to finish out the afternoon—and let a few horses trade the dressage square for some time out on course. 🌿🐎

A big thank you to OHWDA, Twin Towers Horse Park, and everyone behind the scenes who made such an enjoyable day possible!

🐴 CENTRAL OHIO RIDING CLUB IS HIRING!

Central Ohio Riding Club is looking to add a dependable, hardworking individual to our barn team.

We are a busy, professional equestrian facility offering boarding, lessons, training and breeding services. Good horse care depends on consistency, attention to detail and reliability, and we are looking for someone who shares those standards.

Barn responsibilities may include:
• Cleaning and bedding up to 10 stalls per day
• Feeding, watering and hay
• Turnout and bringing horses in
• Filling hay nets and cleaning buckets
• Sweeping and general barn upkeep
• Observing horses and communicating concerns to management

Scheduling may include Monday–Saturday, with responsibilities divided between morning and evening barn care. Morning feeding is completed by 8:30 AM, evening grain is generally fed between 3:00–5:00 PM, with final hay beginning around 6:00 PM.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, comfortable working around horses, able to follow established care instructions, and attentive to the individual horses in their care.

Horse experience is strongly preferred. We are happy to teach our facility’s routines and expectations, but applicants should understand the physical demands and responsibility involved in barn work.

Best of luck to the Union County Horse Team on this final day of the Ohio State Fair Junior Horse Show! Wishing everyone safe rides, successful trips through the gate, and a wonderful finish to an unforgettable week.

The horses are settled in, the tack is ready, and it’s time to put months of hard work into the ring.

🏆 Every horse show tells a different story.

Some weekends are about blue ribbons.

Some are about stepping into the ring for the very first time.

Some are about finding confidence, overcoming challenges, and celebrating progress that isn’t always reflected on the score sheet.

The Happily Ever After Show was one of those weekends that reminded us why we love this sport. Watching our riders support one another, seeing partnerships continue to grow, and giving our young horses another positive experience away from home made the weekend a success long before the final class was called.

🐴 A little social media housekeeping…

Life at the barn has been wonderfully busy, and while we’ve been making memories, our camera roll has grown a little faster than our social media feed.

Today, we’re taking a moment to look back at a fantastic weekend at the Imperial Show, hosted by Duane Stutzman and Buckeye Equestrian Events back in June.

We’re incredibly proud of our riders, thankful for our amazing horses, and grateful to everyone who helped make the weekend such a success.

One of the highlights of the weekend was introducing some of our young horses to the show environment. At Central Ohio Riding Club, we believe those first experiences are just as important as the results earned in the ring. Learning to unload, settle into a new environment, take in the sights and sounds, and build confidence away from home all play an important role in developing well-rounded horses.

Our goal is to give each young horse the time, patience, and thoughtful preparation they need to develop into confident partners. Setting our young horses up for success starts long before they ever step into the show ring, and we’re proud to make those positive early experiences a priority within our training program.

Congratulations to everyone who represented Central Ohio Riding Club at the Imperial Show. We hope you enjoy looking back on a wonderful weekend with us!

🐎 Now Hiring: Experienced Barn Help – 3 Openings Available
📍 Central Ohio

We are seeking reliable, experienced horse people for a busy equine facility. These are limited positions with consistent schedules.

Available Positions:
• 2 Weekday Morning Positions (Monday–Friday)
⏰ Arrival between 8:00–8:30 AM

• 1 Saturday Position (Full Day)
Includes AM & PM feeds, water, and a few stalls

Morning Responsibilities Include:
• Feeding grain & hay
• Water checks
• Cleaning 6–8 stalls
• Turnout
• Sweeping, raking, and general barn chores

This is a hands-on, fast-paced barn environment 🏃. Applicants should be comfortable working independently and handling horses safely.
