Well... Our newly updated website is finally up and running. Hopefully it looks a little more like something designed within this decade. (Our old one was designed and implemented by yours truly, but looked like it was designed by someone that grew up perusing AOL. Very 1980's, not 2026.)

If you don't remember, "You've got mail," notifications, you're not of that time and likely won't remember life prior to Google. Hell, back in the late 90's I was working at a major company and they were using Yahoo to search the web. I told my supervisor, hey there's this new thing called google... check it out. So long ago...

Please let me know if you encounter any errors on our new site...

Since I've worked these web folks for nearly 3 full months, (after I crashed our main source of income 2 weeks before Xmas, swore a blue streak that even scared my dogs and finally threw my arms up and screamed, "I'm too damned old to keep up with all this Sh*t!" (The Ruptured ACL and lack of pain killers, may have somewhat influenced my behavior;) I simply hired someone else to fix it. Please keep in mind that I'm not big on relinquishing control to anyone.

The new site is sleeker, less colorful, but still contains dozens of images of our guests from the last 19 years. Who knows, is your dog there?

Is it just me or does anyone else long for the days when the only ICE we had to hear about was that frozen crap that made our rear wheel drive cars careen, haphazardly on overpasses and some idiot of a white boy, one hit wonder, chanting, "Ice, Ice, baby?"

With the rainy season here... we've found ourselves in a quandry. We go through towels around here like toilet paper in a dystopian future full of nasty, violent, whoopsie crap fests. We need your ratty old towels to dry off wet dogs, several times each day. We keep our friends warm and dry when the outside world gets messy. (Which is why I also need a new washer and dryer, but beggars can't be choosers.) Old blankets are also always, appreciated greatly. I bought all new towels 2 years ago and they're absolutely shredded already.

I managed to get the phone tech out again today, 3 days before originally scheduled and he fixed the chewed through wires up the street so clients should no longer get dead air when dialing the ranch. I'm not nearly as optimistic with 50 year old copper twisted pair lines feeding our very existence. Praying for FIOS for Xmas next year.

Big surprise at the ranch.... Our phone lines are down again and people are not receiving our voice mail service. ETA on basic service is several days away. My Blood pressure has hit record highs.

We still have a handful of spots left for both Xmas and New Years, but if today was any indication, they'll go quickly to existing clients. I have spots for meet and greets this Saturday and then it will be January before we realize it. Call soon.
