With a lifelong passion for dogs, my journey began at just 8 years old in the show ring. Taught the fundamentals of grooming and competition by my mom, I started grooming at 13, training in my late teens, and have spent over 30 years earning AKC and international championships, competing in diverse dog sports, and honing my expertise as a professional groomer. 🐾 Help Us Bring Bam Bam Home ❤️

As many of you know, we are working hard to get sweet Bam Bam back home to his family. Unfortunately, the timing has created an unexpected financial burden. His mom, Jess, is preparing for surgery and was not expecting to suddenly face the additional expense of bringing Bam Bam home.

We are asking our community for a little help. Every dollar truly makes a difference, and even a $1 donation brings us one step closer to getting Bam Bam safely home where he belongs.

Sadly, we have not received financial support from the family who originally brought Bam Bam here, so we are reaching out to those who may be willing and able to help.

If you can donate, share, or simply keep Bam Bam and his family in your thoughts and prayers, we would be incredibly grateful. ❤️🐾

Thank you for helping us give this sweet boy the chance to get home.

A Love Letter to Human Beings — From the Heart of a Dog Lover ❤️🐾

Dear Human Beings,

When you purchase, adopt, or rescue a canine, you are not simply bringing an animal into your home.

You are bringing home a life.

A living, breathing soul who will look to you for food, shelter, veterinary care, safety, comfort, guidance, patience, and love. But in return, they give us something extraordinary—unconditional love. They make us laugh when we need it most. They sit beside us when we're hurting. They give us hugs, companionship, and a kind of loyalty that asks for very little in return.

Every dog is different. Every dog has its own personality, history, needs, fears, strengths, and quirks. They aren't disposable when life becomes inconvenient. They aren't something we get rid of because they're difficult, escape, chew something, require more work than we anticipated, or don't fit perfectly into our household.

When you bring a dog into your life, you are making a commitment to that dog for life.

And today, I have a very special reminder of that sitting beside me.

His name is Bam Bam.

Bam Bam showed up in my yard one morning around 9:00 a.m. He was dragging a chain, and it was immediately apparent that he had been through some things. I took him to the veterinarian to have him scanned for a microchip, and that one little chip began to tell a much bigger story.

Bam Bam originally started his life being abused. He was eventually rescued by a couple in Texas who loved him dearly. When the woman who had rescued him became ill, she became concerned that she could no longer give Bam Bam the life he deserved. With great sadness and tremendous angst, she made the incredibly difficult decision to try to find him another home.

Someone here in my neighborhood agreed to take him in and went to considerable expense to have Bam Bam transported from Texas.

Unfortunately, it became clear that Bam Bam was not a good fit for that household.

Instead of finding another solution or reaching back out to the people who loved him and had cared for him before, things deteriorated. Bam Bam repeatedly escaped. He was chewing through the fence and getting out of the home. And appare

One of my greatest joys is helping people build a stronger, more trusting relationship with their dogs. ❤️🐾 Training isn’t just about obedience—it’s about communication, understanding, confidence, and creating a bond that lasts a lifetime.
Helping families understand their dogs and helping dogs understand their people is truly why I love what I do. 🐶❤️

I have now made contact with Bam Bam’s current family. Unfortunately, the gentleman at the home expressed frustration and said that Bam Bam is not his dog, but his wife’s, and that I would need to wait until she returned home to speak with her.

I’ve offered several possible solutions, including daycare and the possibility of surrendering Bam Bam to me so that I can try to find him a safe and loving home. They have also mentioned surrendering him to a shelter, which comes with its own costs and concerns.

What is heartbreaking is that Bam Bam seems to be a dog that no one really wants to take responsibility for. I don’t know this family personally, so I cannot judge their character or circumstances. I also don’t know why Bam Bam was originally brought from Texas to Washington, only to now find himself in a situation where his special needs seem to have become more than they are willing or able to manage.

What I do know is that Bam Bam is not responsible for his circumstances. If he has behavioral or safety issues, that means he needs appropriate structure, supervision, training, and care—not blame.

This situation is frustrating and heartbreaking because I see it far too often. People take responsibility for a dog, and when things become difficult, the responsibility suddenly falls on someone else—or ultimately on the dog.

If you are going to bring a dog into your life, especially one from another state, that commitment should include making sure the dog is properly secured, supervised, and cared for.

Bam Bam deserves better. My hope is that the adults involved will make a responsible decision and give him the chance to be safe, loved, and properly cared for.

🚨 FOUND DOG — PLEASE HELP US FIND HIS OWNER 🚨

This handsome fawn and white male Pit Bull mix, who is neutered, about 70 to 80lb, wandered into my yard dragging a chain.

He appears to have marks around his neck that look like they may be from a collar that was too tight. We have already taken him to the vet, and we do have his microchip number. We are simply trying to locate his owner and get him safely home.
