Y'all, I can't keep up. I'm completely overwhelmed by the interest we've seen for our most recent litter of puppies. Over 70 applications and dozens more messages since I've started telling people we don't have availability. I've never seen this much interest in our breed, and that's scary. Most of us in English Cockers breed infrequently, having a litter when we want to keep something and not because we desire to profit from it. Demand will inevitably lead to somebody stepping up to fill the void and looking to profit from our lovable breed.

My word of caution to all who I couldn't sell a puppy to this time around: Do your research. Ask for extensive health testing. Be skeptical of breeders who don't exhibit their dogs in any sort of competition evaluating their skills or conformation. Look out for yourselves.

So, yes, all of our Stetson x JoJo puppies have homes at this time. They all passed their vet check-up today with flying colors. Berry here was especially adorable while waiting 🥰

Sunday morning, we welcomed five perfect puppies from JoJo and Stetson into the world. Three boys and two girls. We are currently giving some extra TLC to the firstborn girl. As stated before, we'll start responding to applications once everybody is in the clear. Their health is our #1 priority right now. JoJo is doing great and is a phenomenal mother.

We have a surprise to share! After not planning to have an English Cocker litter this summer, the stars aligned, and we decided to breed JoJo when she came into season last month! We've had this pairing planned for a while, and are so excited that we saw at least five puppies on ultrasound this morning.

Due July 19th

The ECSCA National Week has come to a complete end, and we couldn't be more proud of how the Blazen dogs represented us through the week!

Vesper kicked off the week earning her first two points at the all-breed under Mr. Roger Gifford. The next day, her cousin, Brie, earned her 14th Championship point under Mr. Larry Abbott.

Monday was filled with grooming, packing, loading, and unloading. Tuesday's Regional Specialty under Mr. Doug Johnson was all that I could have hoped for! Brie placed 4th in a competitive Bred-By Puppy class, Vesper was 2nd in 9-12 Puppy to her sister, Yankee won his 10+ Veteran class, and Sherman made a cut in Best of Breed!

In National Sweepstakes, under Breeder Judge Mrs. Sally Rosenthal, Brie was 4th in 9-12 Puppy, Delta was 2nd in 11+ Veterans, and Yankee was the star, winning his 11+ Veteran class before going on to Reserve Best in Veteran Sweepstakes!

Thursday, Vesper was again 2nd to her sister in 9-12 Puppy under Breeder Judge Sue Dwelly, Yankee was 2nd in 10+ Veterans to the eventual Best of Opposite winner, and Delta was 3rd in her own 10+ Veteran class.

While no ribbons to show for it, I could not have been more proud to present Sherman and JoJo in the Best of Breed ring on Friday, both showing their best qualities and why we're so proud of our Kade x Delta kids.

Above all, it was fantastic to see our ECS friends from across the country (and beyond). It was a joyous week and we thank the event committee for their hard work behind the scenes to make it a success!

Someone is in season!!! More news coming soon. 🥰

Please do NOT send requests to be added to our wait list or anything similar. When and if she is pregnant, we will post our process and more information about the litter. Until then, please hang tight. We have dog shows and other events (as well as our full time jobs!) over the next few weeks so will be busy with all of that as we plan for this litter.

Thanks!

There are so many facets to dog breeding, and it's far from just being about producing cute puppies.

To ensure the reproductive health of our stud dogs, Yankee and Sherman, we recently had them both collected and evaluated. We're pleased to report that both were given clean bills of health! This is important to ensure there are no infection and that our boys are ready when requested.

Yankee is in the St. Louis, MO area and Sherman is based in SE Wisconsin with his handlers. Both are available for live cover or fresh collection to approved females.

Day 1 at the all breed and sporting dog specialty shows in Tinley Park, IL were a success!

Both Brie and Vesper won their puppy classes (6-9 month puppy and bred-by puppy, respectively). Brie was the big winner with a 3 point major at the all breed show going Winner and Best of Winners, and earned the last point needed for Puppy of Achievement. Vesper was Reserve Winners at the sporting dog specialty.

Jojo (CH Blazen's Full Victory At Breezewood RI FCAT) was Best of Opposite for a 4 point Grand Champion major with champions defeated at the all breed show.

Sherman (GCH Blazen Down The Rabbit Hole Of Nadou BCAT) was Select Dog at the all breed and sporting dog show for a total of 4 points to complete his Grand Champion Bronze title (pending AKC confirmation) handled by Ryan Wolfe.
