🌷 Look who made it to the vet today!

Tulip is officially ready for her spa day (spay day)!

For those who have followed her journey, she is doing incredibly well. The vet determained she has some vision loss from her hydrocephalus, she doesn't need medication at this time and continues to prove just how resilient she is but we know things can always change with this condition.

Tulip will remain an EBARR forever lifer, where she will receive the lifelong care she needs and deserves.

Update on Winnie
She is adorable......

Winnie
She is a 4 year old female Frenchie approximately 25 lbs.
She is a special needs girl due to her recent surgery on her ears due to severe neglect. Yes, she has no ears. She cannot hear words, however sometimes if I clap she'll turn her head.

She is a happy girl who loves people. She has been exposed to children. For those of you who remember she was adopted to a wonderful family, I do not have one negative thing to say about that and no one should.

Overtime, Winnie became mean to their resident female dog, and I mean mean. Sometimes girls can be snarky to other girls. It got to the point that the whole family was in chaos and the other dog was afraid all the time. After many interventions the painfull call was made to us and I talked the family into her being returned to us. The right thing to do was to find her a new home. That's one benefit you get when you adopt from a good rescue, we take our dogs back.
Now when Winnie came to my home, she did the exact same thing she did in her home, so was not an environmental issue.or something the family was doing wrong.

We cannot adopt out Winnie to a household with another female dog. I am testing her out on the male dogs in my house and everything seems fine for now. I wonder if special needs makes her feel vulnerable and have to consistently exert her dominance which gets her in some trouble. To fall in love with Winnie, you have to understand her story and how we got her, which is posted below in the links. She has only been here since saturday , and I already freaking adore this little girl, sassy pants and all.

Our new girl!

I never imagined i would be scheduling three eye surgeries at once but here we are, because these babies deserve every chance to live pain-free.

✨ Peewee Update! ✨

Our tiny blind boy is growing so fast! 💙 Every day he is getting bigger, stronger, and showing us what a little fighter he is.

Peewee is scheduled for his eye removal surgery on July 26. This surgery will help relieve his pain and give him the chance to live the happy, comfortable life he deserves and into a forever home.

But Peewee isn't the only one who needs our help.

Calliope, the sweet blind girl we took in after she lost her owner, is also scheduled for her eye removal surgery this month. And Herman, who is still too small for surgery, surprised us all when we discovered he is blind as well. His surgery will come as soon as he is big enough.

We now have three eye surgeries ahead of us, and the medical expenses are adding up quickly. If you are able to donate, no matter the amount, your generosity will go directly toward giving these precious animals a life free from pain.
