Some stories stay with you forever. ❤️

After experiencing the heartbreaking loss of a beloved family cat, then enduring another devastating loss, a week, after bringing home a kitten from elsewhere, this family had almost given up hope. The fear, sadness, and emotional exhaustion that come with loving and losing animals is something no one should have to experience repeatedly.

Today, they shared an update of the kitten they received from us! Moments like this are why I do what I do…not just placing kittens, but helping restore joy, healing, and companionship back into a home that truly needed it.

I want everyone to keep this in mind!!!

Returning an animal is not the same as returning an item to a store. Once ownership responsibilities, veterinary care, contracts, and placement terms are no longer followed, situations become far more complex than simply “dictating” an amount someone believes they should receive back.

Ethical breeders and rescues absorb enormous amounts of time, cost, veterinary care, emotional labor, and responsibility when animals are returned and rehomed. Contracts exist for a reason, and accountability applies to both sides, not only when it is convenient.
