There will be some updates happening here at House of Mongrels.

Effective immediately, dogs that have fleas will be charged an additional $20 upon service. This is to maintain the cleanliness of the salon and prevent spreading to other patrons as well as my personal animals, home and yard.

If you know your pet has fleas please let me know as I will schedule them at the end of the day. Every pet deserves a bug free, sanitary salon for their spa day. This results in reschedules to maintain my standard of sanitation for each pet.

The next update, effective October 1st. There will be a price increase. I will do my best to inform everyone regarding this increase upon their next grooming appointment.

So, so important to vaccinate your pups.

Let's talk about PARVO!

Parvo hit Rescue One last week, and thankfully thanks to quick diagnosis and treatment, all four puppies are doing well. But that is not always the case.

Parvo is deadly, highly contagious virus that attacks a puppy’s intestinal tract and immune system, and it can live in the environment for months on grass, concrete, shoes, and clothing.

One vaccine is not enough to protect a puppy. Vaccinations typically begin at 6–8 weeks of age and continue every 3–4 weeks until at least 16 weeks old (sometimes 18–20 weeks in higher-risk areas). Most puppies receive three to four rounds before they are fully protected.

Until that final booster is complete, puppies are vulnerable. Making sure your puppy finishes their full vaccine series is one of the most important things you can do to protect them. Prevention truly saves lives. 💜

Have a pup? Be sure to talk to your veterinarian and get them on a vaccination schedule!

Updates have been made to the online booking. If making an appointment request online and needing VIP service please add VIP service to the request. I will do my best to get you the time you requested.

Evening appointments are still available however, please contact me via text, fb message, or phone to schedule.

Hopefully there will be very few kinks to work out.

Winter weather planning.
With possible snowpocalypse on the way please stay safe.

If it looks bad out we can reschedule. I have set aside a few days for snow day make-up. And will be addressing each appointment as the time gets nearer.

Expect to be receiving messages from me to plan accordingly.

ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!

Beginning February 1st there will be a restructuring of scheduling to allow for more availability.

I will no longer be taking one dog/family at a time. But a few at a time.

If your dog still needs the one on one service. It is still available. Please reach out if that service is needed.

Before/after normal hour appointments will still be available but will be at an extra expense.

This month (January ) I will be updating the website and online booking.
