🐾 FUR BABY FRIDAY! 🐾

Today, Tika got to hang out at Middleburg Books with the Middleburg Police Department! 🐶💕

Tika is a 2-year-old brindle & white girl who has so much love to give. After being a momma dog, she’s ready to be somebody’s spoiled baby! 🥰

She’s spayed, crate trained, great with kids, and her adoption fee is sponsored! 🎉 Tika is smart, energetic, and would love an active family who’s ready for walks, yard time, fetch, and lots of adventures. 🎾

Tika may do well with the right dog, but she needs a home without small dogs or cats. She also has Diabetes Insipidus and will need some special care, but that hasn’t stopped her from being a happy, affectionate girl who is SO ready for her forever home. ❤️

🐱 UPDATE on the cat found: Kitt is HOME!

We have some wonderful news about our found kitty; he has been identified as Kitt, and his family was contacted! His owner came to the shelter today to pick him up, and we couldn't be happier to see Kitt reunited with the people who love him. 🥹🐾

Even better, Kitt went home with a microchip, giving his family an extra layer of protection if he ever gets lost again. 💙

This is such an important reminder to microchip your pets! In the unfortunate event that your furry friend goes missing, a microchip can make it much easier to identify them and reunite them with their family.

Middleburg Humane Foundation offers microchips for just $20 at our monthly vaccine clinics! If you're interested, please keep an eye out for the flyer for our September clinic.

A huge thank you to our incredible community for sharing Kitt's story and helping get him home safe and sound. It truly takes a community to make reunions like this possible! ❤️

HELP US FIND HIS FAMILY! 🐱💙

This friendly neutered male tabby was found today on Crenshaw Road in Upperville. He is wearing a black collar with red beans on it, and we believe he may be someone’s beloved pet.

Kendrick - Male, 2 Months

Hey, I'm Kendrick — a 2-month-old grey and white kitten ready to bring adventure and cuddles to your home! 🐱 I'm neutered and litter box trained, and I'm a social little guy who gets along great with cats, dogs, and kids. I'm affectionate, playful, and always up for a good time — whether that's a game or a cozy cuddle session! 💕

I do have Distichiasis, a condition where extra hairs grow along the eyelid and can irritate the eye. My hairs have been plucked to keep me comfortable, but I'll likely need to see a veterinary ophthalmologist in the future to determine the best long-term treatment. Despite my extra-special eyes, I'm a happy, playful kitten ready to find my forever family! 🐾
