Meet Buck Owens and the “Hee Haw Honeys” - Minnie Pearl, Lulu Roman and Barbi Benton - four of the sweetest, Southern-drawling, sweet-tea-drinking hound puppies you’ll ever meet!

With ears for dayyyysss, big brown puppy-dog eyes and soft puppy bellies, they are beyond adorable. These little country cuties are available for adoption NOW - so c’mon down to meet them! Our shelter is open 10-2 pm Saturday or call/message for an appt.

People often ask if we adopt out of county or even out of state, and the answer is a resounding YES!

Two of our longest-distance adoptions happen to be Treeing Walker Coonhounds, which makes our hearts so happy! Sherlock’s mom drove from Chicago to adopt him, and Kaleidoscope, now Maisie Mae, went all the way home to Minnesota almost a year ago.

Her adopter recently shared, “She is the sweetest hound there ever was and can’t get enough of naps in the sun, car rides, bike rides and snacks since she joined us in Minnesota!”

And we just happen to have another adorable Treeing Walker looking for her person. Summer Peach has her suitcase packed and is ready to travel to find her forever home! Link to her profile in the comments 🍑

Meet Bark Twain. 🩷 This very good boy was found as a stray and never claimed, which is surprising because he has the best manners and seems to have been treated well by his previous owners.

Mr. Twain is a perfect doggy-dog. Car rides? Loves em. Long walks? Lets go. Meeting new people and dogs? Sure, if they want to meet him, he's a friendly guy. Leash walking? Other than some random zoomies, he'll match your speed.

Highly intelligent... cute as a button... eager to please... and loves to snuggle. What more could you want in a best friend?

Anybody looking for a traveling companion? I'm not looking for big adventures, more cruising and sightseeing! Don't let those long ears fool you I'm not interested in running around tracking down things, unless it's friends or treats😉
I'm not really into being a solo traveler but I don't want someone clinging to me either, just someone to hang with and drive. I don't have a driver's license so my preferred traveler will do the driving. I'm a pretty chill guy. Folks have said that I'm handsome, I am not really worried about looks so much though.
I'm crashing at Madison County Animal Services - NC for now if you want to come hang out. Just ask for Hot Cheeto, that's what they call me 😅
