🍁🐾 Meet Layla! Our beautiful German Shepherd girl who knows exactly what she likes (and what she doesn’t)!
Layla has been part of the Stow Road Pet Sitters family for almost a year, and we’ve learned that the secret to a successful walk isn’t how many miles we cover. It’s how safe, comfortable, and fulfilled she feels along the way. ❤️
Like many German Shepherds, Layla has her preferences and sensitivities. During our initial Meet & Greet, we took the time to learn about her triggers and how best to support her.
📱 Here’s where our technology comes in!
We use Time To Pet, a leading professional pet care management platform, to document each pet’s unique needs, behavioral observations, and handling preferences.
Our team shares private internal notes so that regardless of WHO walks through your door, everyone is equipped to provide the same thoughtful, individualized care.
You shouldn’t have to explain your dog’s needs over and over again just because you use a team-based pet care service! 💚
👃 Now, let’s talk about Layla’s SNIFFARI!
A sniffari is a leisurely, sniff-focused walk where dogs explore the world through their noses.
We don’t cover much ground with Layla, and that’s intentional! She’s busy reading the neighborhood mail, investigating who’s been by, and enjoying all those wonderful smells.
And guess what? That’s incredibly enriching!
You don’t need to walk three miles or break a sweat for your dog to benefit from a walk. For dogs who experience anxiety or have sensitivities, the familiarity and predictability of a neighborhood walk can be especially beneficial.
Some might have you believe neighborhood walks aren’t enough. We couldn’t disagree more!
🐾 A great dog walk isn’t measured in miles. It’s measured by how well it meets the needs of the dog at the other end of the leash.
And for Layla? A beautiful fall day, familiar streets, and plenty of time to stop and smell EVERYTHING is pretty much perfection. 🍂❤️
