DESKUNKING YOUR DOG AT HOME (FAST GUIDE)

🚫 DO NOT WET THEM- a lot of people make this mistake in a panic. Wetting them can spread and set the oils. Wipe or blot them with paper towels to remove the oils. Then use the deskunking formula below ON DRY FUR.

👀 CHECK THEIR EYES
Flush with water or ophthalmic saline solution if needed (skunk spray burns!)

🧪MIX THIS MAGIC SOLUTION
• 1 quart hydrogen peroxide (3%)
• 1/4 cup baking soda
• 1–2 tsp Dawn dish soap
⚠️ Don’t store it, use immediately

🧼 APPLY solution to A DRY COAT
Work it in really well (avoid eyes)
⏱️ Let sit 5–10 minutes max

🚿 RINSE + REPEAT IF NEEDED
Then follow with regular shampoo and conditioner

DON’T USE TOMATO JUICE- it doesn’t actually remove the smell

🐾 FINAL TIP
You might still smell it a little when they get wet for a few days-weeks-sometimes months… that’s normal

Tick season has officially started and we’ve already found ticks on a few pets 😬

Please make sure your pet is up to date on flea & tick prevention to help prevent diseases and keep your pets healthy. We recommend checking them after walks, hikes, and time outside, especially around ears, neck, armpits, and between the toes.

No one invited the ticks this early, but apparently they didn’t get the memo. 🕷️
