We hear it all the time. “Dogs should just stay in the house.”

That might work for some owners, especially when you’re dealing with smaller breeds.

But when you’re managing multiple large, high-drive dogs, it can be a completely different situation.

Having a kennel doesn’t mean your dogs live there 24/7.

It means they have a secure, comfortable space of their own when you need it. Room to move, a place to rest, protection from the weather, and a setup that makes managing multiple dogs easier.

There’s a big difference between locking a dog up all day and giving them a proper space of their own. 🐾

We hear this argument a lot, so let’s clear a few things up.

First, if a dog is being left inside a kennel all day with no exercise, interaction, or time outside of it, that’s an ownership issue. That’s not what these setups are designed for.

Second, dogs aren’t standing on their feet all day. They sit, lay down, move around, and rest.

And It’s polypropylene flooring designed to provide a comfortable surface while allowing airflow and drainage underneath.

Now I don’t have to worry about coming home to something destroyed, or finding p*e and p**p somewhere in the house because nobody was around.

When life gets busy, they have a space of their own.

And that’s probably my favorite part about having the right setup.

It gives me peace of mind, but more importantly, it gives them a comfortable and secure space to relax until we’re back. 🐾

There’s actually a pretty good story behind how we ended up using this colored flooring.

Over the years, we’ve tried different flooring setups and continued changing things based on what we learned from actually building and using these kennels.

Eventually, we landed on the top-layer flooring you see in our builds today.

It gave us the combination we were looking for. Something that’s easier to maintain, comfortable for the dogs, functional with the flooring system underneath, and still gives the finished kennel a clean, polished look.

A lot of what you see on our builds today didn’t happen overnight. It came from trying things, finding the problems, and figuring out a better way to do it.

And this flooring is one of those things.
