The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) notified the Town of Marion Board of Health and Animal Control that a raccoon found in the area of Point Road near the water tower has tested positive for rabies. Please be careful and vigilant around any wildlife or animal not acting right or getting to close. Make sure your pet is up to date with their rabies vaccine!

🏃🏻‍♀️Support Dr. Ashley Saturday October 17th🏃🏻‍♀️

Join for a meaningful 5K in loving memory of Scott Ashley and in support of families affected by Lewy Body Dementia (LBD). LBD is the second most common form of dementia, one of the most aggressive and least understood forms of dementia, leaving many individuals and caregivers facing an overwhelming journey with limited resources, education, and support.

This event was created to raise awareness, honor Scott’s legacy, and help ensure that no family faces Lewy Body Dementia alone. Scott was a devoted husband, loving father, loyal friend, local cranberry grower, and lifelong runner whose generous spirit touched everyone who knew him. Hosting this 5K at Ted Williams Camp is especially meaningful, as it celebrates his love of running, the outdoors, and the community that was part of his story.

Your support makes a difference. Whether you register to run or walk, donate, become a sponsor, volunteer, or simply help share our mission, you are helping fund education, caregiver support, awareness, and research for those impacted by LBD. Every step and every contribution brings hope to families who need it most.
