We have some sad news, and some clients are aware of what's been going on.
Josh and I's pup Tootie, has been having some major health issues for the past weeks. Just over night he came to have upwards of a dozen lesions all over his body. Out of nowhere. As well as a major cough. He went from this healthy, vibrant and active guy to just sick overnight. We have done many many extensive tests. At first they thought he had Blastomycosis. A major fungal infection that is not contagious. It comes from the soil. All tests came back negative for that. He was getting better, but then has rapidly declined. Over this time, we have done other testing. Lymphoma was the number one suspect. We found out this week that he has not only Lymphoma, but Mast Cell cancer as well from further testing sent to Mizzou.
Tootie has two types of cancer. It's rare, but possible. This week, he has severely declined.
Josh and I know it is time. And we will be taking Tootie to cross the rainbow bridge tomorrow morning (Monday, 8-10-26) . He will hopefully get to see Josh's momma, and maybe even mine as well as my brother. Hopefully they are all there to greet him.
Tootie is an amazing, smart and loyal guy. I have been honored to know the big fella in these past couple of years. I love him to pieces and I know Josh's heart is broken as well as mine. He means the world to him and is doing what is best to end his suffering. This choice has not been made lightly.
We ask for understanding and patience during this terrible time.
I also want to mention that my uncle Mike (my aunt's husband) passed away yesterday. Also of cancer. They had just found out last week. This is in no way secondary to our Tootie. My uncle Mike was a stand up guy, hard worker and most of all a loving family man and great friend. We will miss him very much and our hearts and prayers go out to my aunt, and his family. Rest easy Mike. πππ―π«Ά
