Hi! I'm Heather!

A little bit about me:

I've been grooming for 18 years

🐕📖My favorite part of grooming is: learning new grooming techniques and seeing them come to life on each dog. Continuing education! I love to handstrip terriers!

🐩My favorite breed(s) to groom are: poodles, terriers and pomeranians!

🚘When I'm not at the salon I'm busy: grooming my own two Standard Poodles and cruising in our classic cars with my family.

🐕My own dogs: A 7 year old standard poodle named Leeloo, a 3 year old standard poodle named Stella, and a 6 year old pomeranian named Ziggy.

📖My grooming story: I have always wanted to work with animals so as soon as I graduated high school I went straight into grooming. I started off as a Bather and went onto groom at a shop in Taylor for most of my career. I moved to East China about 3 years ago and started at Golden Hour this past December.

❤️My why: working with pets has always been in my cards and it always brings me satisfaction seeing a clean and happy pet walk out the salon doors. Building a relationship with the pet owners is the best parts of our day. We love to see happy owners too!

Hi, I'm Kelsie, the owner and one of the faces behind Golden Hour Grooming! 🐾✂️

A little bit about me…

🐶 I’ve been grooming for: 13 years!

❤️ My favorite part of grooming is: Helping a nervous dog gain their confidence! I love getting to know each and every dog and watching their personalities come out once they're feeling fresh and comfortable. 🥹

🐕 My favorite breed to groom are: Golden Retrievers!

🏡 When I'm not at the salon I’m busy: Chasing around my 3 boys, duck hunting, trying to learn to golf (😅) and cooking!

🐾 My own dogs: A 13 year old Golden named Ryder, a 4 year old field Golden named Goose, and a 1.5 year old Black lab named Baker!

📚 My grooming story: I fell into grooming by accident! I graduated high school and went off to the honors college at GVSU the next fall. After studying Marine Biology for a semester I realized it wasn’t what I wanted to continue working toward. I came home to attend community college and got a job at a corporate pet store. Shortly after I began bathing in the grooming salon, and eventually moved up to grooming! The rest is history!

❤️ My why: Golden Hour Grooming is something I built from the ground up with a lot of love, and I'm so grateful to have a business that allows me to do what I love while being there for my family.

My top priority at Golden Hour Grooming isn't just to make your pup look good—it's to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while they're here.
