Meet Apollo! 🐾

This sweet Boxer has officially started his 6-Week Boot Camp Program, and we’re so excited to have him! 💙

Apollo is an incredibly sweet, good-natured boy, but his excitement sometimes gets the best of him, especially when it comes to greeting people! His enthusiastic hellos often include jumping, and he also tends to pull on the leash when he’s eager to get where he’s going.

Over the next six weeks, we’ll be building a solid foundation of obedience, manners, leash skills, and reliable off-leash obedience. The goal? To give Apollo the skills and confidence to enjoy much more freedom while still making good choices and listening to his owner, even when distractions are around! #
We can’t wait to watch this handsome boy grow throughout his stay! 🐶✨

Dogs don’t care how big they are.

Whether they’re 8 pounds or 80 pounds, they all benefit from clear communication, consistency, and a little patience.

Good manners aren’t a “big dog thing.”
Confidence isn’t a “small dog thing.”

Every dog deserves to understand what’s being asked of them—and every owner deserves a dog they can enjoy taking anywhere.

Freedom isn’t something we should rush.

Long lines are one of my favorite training tools because they give dogs room to explore while still keeping everyone safe.

Your dog gets to sniff, wander, and make choices…
You keep the ability to step in if needed.

It’s a fantastic way to build a reliable recall and confidence before ever considering off-leash freedom.

Every dependable off-leash dog starts with hundreds of successful repetitions on a leash first. 🐕🌿

Music.
Food everywhere.

For a well-socialized dog, it’s an opportunity to practice staying calm and making good choices in a busy environment.

Remember though—not every dog enjoys crowded places, and that’s okay! The goal isn’t to take your dog everywhere. It’s to understand what your individual dog can handle and set them up for success.

Sometimes the best training is simply sitting on a bench together and watching the world go by. 🐾

Are they nervous, overly excited, or completely zen?

The goal isn’t for your dog to love every person, dog, or distraction they see—it’s for them to stay calm, confident, and able to focus on you no matter what’s going on around them. That’s what makes outings enjoyable for both of you!
