What a fantastic day at The Pioneer Riding Club, at the Barlow Fairgrounds, where Pioneer delivered an outstanding show - my clients truly excelled with their horses, and I'm excited to see them push their limits further.

What a successful day it ended up being for all my clients today! This beautiful Palomino mare is called Latto.
Unfortunately, Latto has fear anxiety when it comes to trailer loading and being inside the trailer; she has also picked up some fun tips and tricks in order not to load or stand to be tied. 

1. Getting her front feet in the trailer and throwing herself to the ground.
2. getting on and then spinning either direction to bolt off .
3. Putting her full body weight on you and slamming you into the side of the trailer.

The goal for today was to get her on there, relaxed, and calm.

After 30 minutes, Latto walked into the trailer, calm tied up and let me shut the divider door and stood there, calm and relaxed. And then like a lady backed off the trailer, calm and relaxed.

I was given the wonderful opportunity to work with our local 4-H group here in Washington County, Ohio. It was a wonderful afternoon of learning and experiencing new things. I cannot wait to be a part of the next one. Thank you to my wonderful home barn, Cherry Creek Equestrian LLC, for donating the space and time. Also thank to our wonderful barn help Max for working so hard and making our barn look wonderful!

I was once told by someone I considered a mentor and friend at the time that I was too happy and excited while giving lessons, and that I was too excited for their accomplishment. I remember how that made me feel. And from that point, I made my joy and happiness for my clients even louder. Don't let salty people take your joy away.
