Georgia heat is NO joke and our furry friends feel it more than we do! Here are some quick tips to keep your pup safe this week:

🐶 HOT ASPHALT CHECK:
The 5-Second Rule: Place the back of your hand on the pavement for 5 seconds. If it's too hot for you, it's too hot for their paws! 🔥
Walk Early or Late: Stick to walks before 9am and after 7pm when the ground is cooler. 🌅
Stick to Grass: Choose grassy routes over sidewalks and asphalt whenever possible. 🌳
Paw Protection: Consider dog booties or paw wax to create a barrier. Come ask us about our favorites! 🐕‍🦺

💧 HYDRATION IS KEY:
Water Everywhere: Always bring fresh water and a collapsible bowl on walks.
Water Bowl at Home: Keep multiple fresh bowls around and add ice cubes to keep it cool. 🧊
Watch for Signs: Heavy panting, drooling, lethargy, or vomiting can be signs of overheating. Move them to shade and cool them down immediately.

Never leave your pup in a parked car, not even for a minute! 🚗❌
